CHECK LIST - KEEP HANDY AT TIME OF DELIVERY

1. You must have a certified or cashiers check made payable to SteelMaster Buildings, LLC for the balance due on the building if full payment has not been made prior to delivery. If building is being delivered outside the continental U.S., we must receive your full payment 2-3 weeks prior to your anticipated shipping date.

2. You are responsible for unloading your building. In order to expedite the off loading of your SteelMaster® building, depending on the size of your building, you will need approximately 3-4 people to unload by hand or a piece of equipment such as a forklift, front-end loader, backhoe or boom truck. We recommend that you wear gloves if unloading by hand because the panels are very sharp.

3. You must check your packing slip to make sure everything is there. You must check for any damages at this time. If there are any shortages or damages, please note on the slip and sign. Also, you must contact our office immediately so that we can take care of the matter at once. Our office must be informed within thirty (30) days. (THIS TIME IS IMPORTANT EVEN IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO ERECT YOUR BUILDING IMMEDIATELY). Note: All building parts are color coded. Make sure your colors are matched to your name.

4. You will be receiving your construction guide with the delivery of your building. We recommend that you and/or your contractor read the manual completely before beginning the erection of the building in order to avoid errors in construction. If you do have any questions, you can either contact our customer service department at 1-800-341-7007 or contact the factory engineer department at 1-800-387-2343.

5. We STRONGLY recommend that while your building is UNDER CONSTRUCTION you contact your insurance agency and PLACE A RIDER ON YOUR POLICY (Builder’s risk insurance) for construction damage. This is a precaution that is necessary prior to your building being grouted into your foundation, in case of high winds and heavy snow which may cause damage during construction. YOU MUST MAKE SURE YOU TEMPORARILY TIE DOWN ARCHES WHILE THE BUILDING IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION. You should also seriously consider permanent insurance for your building as well.

6. If you are not going to erect your building within a short time, please refer to your foundation and erection guide for proper storage instructions. Your building must be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area to prevent staining and discoloring.

7. When unloading your steel, try to place the arch material in the center off to the edge of your foundation. This will minimize handling the material. Also, store your caulking, bolts, and hardware inside to prevent theft and to protect them from the elements.

8. Always, if possible, stand your arches from the leeward toward the windward; usually from the south toward the north. Although not crucial, this technique logically sheds driving wide, rain and snow, usually worst from the north, northwest and northeast.
