BIOGRAPHY OF
DAVID BUNNELL
David Bunnell (John6, Isaac5, Solomon4, Benjamin3, Benjamin2, William1) was born June 18, 1802[i] probably in Newark Valley, Tioga Co., NY. Because the exact date for his family’s relocation from Candor to Newark Valley cannot be determined, he may have been born in Newark Valley. However the two properties are only about 6 miles apart. David married Mary Mae (Polly) Everett who was born in Berkshire, Tioga County, NY on November 11, 1806[ii]. It is generally accepted that Mary is the daughter of Abram and Deborah (Cortright) Everett[iii].
There has not been a lot of material found on David Bunnell. On March 12, 1840 at the Proof of Will meeting for his father’s will, David is reported as living in Canadea, Allegany, Co., NY.[iv] He and his family later moved to Belmont [also Allegany Co.] and finally to Whitesville, Allegany Co., where he died Aug. 30, 1865.[v]
David and Mary Bunnell had 11 children as follows:[vi]

This appears to end David Bunnell’s line in Tioga County, NY and this compiler will not pursue that line any farther in this book.
