The BS Information Technology program requires the successful completion of 129 credits. The total number of
transfer credits is 65 and the total number of excess credits is 8. Intercollege students need to take 63 credits of
courses at FDU. One-credit course, Freshman Seminar, is waived.

TECHNICAL ELECTIVES OR CO-OPERATIVE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE:Six credits must be selected from the Technical Electives List for the Information Technology Curriculum. Copies of which can be obtained through the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Choices must be approved by an academic advisor. Instead of taking the technical electives, students can elect to participate in a cooperative educational experience and earn a maximum of six academic credits.
HUMANITIES/SOCIAL SCIENCE ELECTIVE: Nine credits must be chosen from the list of approved humanities/social science electives. Copies of which can be obtained through the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology. Choices must be approved by an academic advisor.
SECOND DISCIPLINE OR CONCENTRATION: Students must either concentrate in a particular area of information technology or undertake a second discipline of interest other than information technology. Any concentration area or second discipline undertaken by the students must be approved first by an adviser. A minimum of 18 credits is required for a second discipline or an area of concentration.
A minimum of 128 to 129 credits is required for graduation.
