SOUTH NEIGHBORHOOD YMCA

Cardio Dance Mix: Get your feet moving & your heart pumping to a mix of Top 40, Country, Latin, Pop, Reggae and More!

Cycling: Indoor cycling is a group exercise class done on special stationary bikes. During the class, the instructor simulates an outdoor ride. Together, you travel on flat roads, climb hills, sprint & race!

Cycle/Yoga Fusion: Where Cycle meets Yoga! Start your day off right with this perfectly blended class lead by a experienced instructor.

Gentle Yoga: A gentle form of yoga designed for the beginner and those young at heart.

FUNctional Training: A blend of cardio, athletic drills, and step-like training, using a variety of equipment to enhance cardio and strength fitness. Add some stability and abdominal training to top off this FUN & energizing workout. This class has it all!

Move, Shake Sweat: Burn up the dance floor and burn calories too! This class blends hip hop and dance moves, making them simple and easy to follow! Anyone can do this! This workout feels more like a night on the town than exercise. Drop the pounds and get rapid results!

Pilates Mat: A system of specific exercises and physical movement coupled with focused breathing patterns designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Pilates yields many health benefits including strength, flexibility, and balance. *Bring your own Yoga/Pilates Mat to classes

Self Myofascial Release: A dense foam roller is used to allow the participant to give themselves a massage, known as Self Myofascial Release. In time, foam roller therapy can reduce or eliminate pain in muscles by relaxing contracted muscles. Participants are encouraged to bring their own roller as we have a limited number of rollers at the Y.

Silver Sneakers: Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activity for daily living skills. Handheld weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a fitness ball are offered for resistance; a chair is used for seated and/or standing support.

Sparta: Have fun with this intense workout involving military/interval training that will change every week. We will take Boot Camp to a whole new level!

Strength and Cardio Mix: This class allows you to cross-train by mixing up your cardio options and adds strength training and abdominal work. A fun, energetic, calorie-burning workout.

Yoga: Yoga is about creating balance, strength, and flexibility in the body through physical postures of poses while cultivating a sense of peace and well-being. All fitness levels welcome! *Bring your own Yoga/Pilates Mat to classes.

Yoga Booty Barr: A fun class that blends the mindfulness of yoga, the heat generating core focus of Pilates and the booty boosting effects of the bar in this combined exercise class. This class is appropriate for all levels.

Zumba Intense: The most fun you could possibly have while burning the maximum amount of calories! Come dance away your worries and burn an amazing number of calories with us!
