January, 2014

Dear Handball Player,

The following is important information in regards to our handball season. Because of conflicting schedules with other sports we will be holding practices on some Sundays, Saturdays as well as after school. The cost to play will be $83.50 per player if you haven’t played this year already or $53.50 per player if you have already played in a league since September.

We will have a few volunteers this year. These people are giving up their personal time to come and help, so it is important that you attend practice so that we are not wasting their time. If overall attendance drops, there will be a revisit of the team structure, meaning that you may find yourself on a different team then when you were initially placed. Please refer to the WKC website under Handball, which will contain information about tournaments, schedules, attendance policy etc. throughout the season. If you know there is a practice you cannot make, it is important to send me an email!

We will be separating everyone into teams. There is no guarantee that this division will be by grade only. The coach’s decisions are FINAL. Please know that I will be posting a list of players in the staffroom and if their attendance or marks are an issue they will be asked to sit out for a while or be asked to leave the team. In the past there have been players who do not fully read the contract, and they ultimately did forfeit their fees because of not carefully reading the contract. Once you have used the online registration, it will be assumed that doing so indicates that you have agreed to the rules of the STHF and the Wolverines Handball Club. All players and parents/ guardians need to carefully read and signup online in order to play team handball for The Wolverines. The deadline to sign up online for the season is February 28th, 2014

Membership per player (paid by non members) / 30.00
(If you have already paid this yearly fee as of September 2013 or later do not pay again!!!!!) Ask Ms. Lock if you are unsure.
Registration provincials per player / 25.00
Referee fees per player / 13.50
Fee for tournament per player / 15.00
Total fees for current 2013/2014 members / 53.50
Total fees for non-members / 83.50

Melissa Lock
