Math-Math – We are continuing our unit on Statistics! We will be discussing and constructing Stem & Leaf Plots, Box and Whiskey Plots, Two-Way Frequency Tables. We will also be calculating Permutations and Combinations. The Unit Test will be Wednesday, January 28th

English-:English: Next week, we will continue to review grammar, specifically, parts of speech, phrases, and clauses. We will also start a unit on poetry. Students should bring a printed copy of their favorite poem or song to class next week. All poems/songs should be appropriate for school- both content and vocabulary. If your student’s poem/song is questionable, they should select a different poem/song.
Also, students will need a copy of SparkNotes: No Fear Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare by February 17th. There are other versions of Shakespeare’s play, however, this is the version that works best for this class.

Calling all dancers! If you are interested in trying out for HTMS Dance Team or Pom Squad, there will be a mandatory parent information meeting on Tuesday, January 27th, at 6 pm in the auditorium. An optional pre-clinic will be held on February 17th and February 19th from 3:00-5:00. Mandatory clinic and tryouts will take place during the week of March 16-20. A list of tryout requirements can be found on Mrs. Williams’ class website.
