Wynn Las Vegas Announces the Promotions of

Steve Blanner and PedramPakneshan

LAS VEGAS (May 14, 2015) — Wynn Las Vegas and Encore announces the promotion of Steve Blanner to Vice President of Sales, and PedramPakneshan to Executive Director of Convention Sales. Both are long-term employees of Wynn Las Vegas with proven track records of success in the meetings and conventions industry.

Blanner has more than three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, starting his career at The Mirage in 1990 in hotel operations. In 1993, Blanner opened Treasure Island as an Assistant Hotel Manager before transferring to Bellagio in 1998 to join the resort’s opening Convention Services team. He was one of Wynn Las Vegas’ earliest employees, joining the pre-opening team in 2003 and serving as Executive Director of Convention Services when the resort officially opened in 2005. In 2009, Blanner was promoted to his most recent position of Executive Director of Convention Sales & Services. In his new role as vice president, Blanner will assume direct responsibility for the Convention Sales and Convention Services teams at Wynn and Encore.

Pakneshan was promoted to Executive Director of Convention Sales. Pakneshan served on the Convention Sales opening team, joining Wynn Las Vegas in 2005 as a Conference Sales Manager. He has been promoted six times since he started with the company. Pakneshan will assist Blanner with the day-to-day duties of the Convention Sales team.
