SECOND REUNION

RESERVATION, DONATION AND DEPOSIT FORM

Arrangements are nearing completion for the Second Reunion of

TBS Marine Officer Basic Class 4-67. Reservations are now open and the following details have been established:

Dates: 16 through 20 September (Wednesday to Saturday)

Hotel: Holiday Inn Bayside San Diego, CA

Holiday Inn: 1-619-224-1787

Holiday Reservations: 1-800-650-6660

Room: Single or double

Room rates: $127/night

Reunion Cost: $250/person (see accompanying Schedule of Events for what is included).

Hotel Reservation: We have reserved a block of rooms at the Holiday Inn, which are now available on a first come first served basis. We encourage you to register early. Room reservations should be made through the Holiday Inn by each attendee and should be handled by personal credit cards. When calling, please identify yourself as being with the Marine Officer Basic Class 4-67.

Reunion Deposit: in order to reserve your reunion space and allow us to accurately forecast attendance, please provide a $50/person deposit which will be applied against your reunion reservation fee (not accommodations).

Donation (in lieu of dues): Donations will be utilized to help cover operating and pre-reunion costs such as printing, postage, association incorporation, building, registering and maintaining the association web site, etc. and provide financial assistance to classmates who may require. Any voluntary donation you would like to make to help cover these costs is greatly appreciated.

Optional Events – your account (separate estimated costs/fees): Golf ($115) and Pizza outing ($20).

Please make your check(s) payable to “MARINE OFFICER BC 4-67 Association, Inc.”. Donations only are tax deductible since the association is a tax exempt 501 (c) (3) organization. Please mail your checks, along with the Reunion Registration Form (below) to:

Thursday, 9/17

0900: Buses leave for MCAS-Miramar

0930-1200: tours, demos MCAS

1200-1330: Lunch, Officer’s Club, MCAS. Intelligence Briefing - Col. Andy Hewitt, USMCR

1345 -1445: “Flying Leatherneck Museum” tour, MCAS

1500; - Return to Holiday Inn

1600-1800: Free time: Hosted beer and wine, Harborview Room

1800- Dinner – Pizza & Salad Buffet, Private Roof Patio, Pizza Nova. (Across the street from the hotel, on the water). Capacity limited to 100 guests to register. (non-hosted) Free time.

Friday, 9/18

0700: Buses depart for MCRD

0730-0800: Colors Ceremony

0830-0945: Memorial Service, MCRD Chapel

1000-1120: Graduation, Parade

1200-1300: Lunch, Bayview Room (MCRD Officer’s Club)

1300-1430: Tour MCRD Museum, Viet Nam Display. MCRD Post Exchange Souvenir Shopping

1430: Buses return to Holiday Inn

1700: Shuttle busses to USS Midway Museum

1700-2000: Hosted Tours, Reception, Light Dinner, Fantail Café, USS Midway Museum

2000-??: Tour of Gaslamp Irish Pubs, Saloons, guided by General Mike Neil.

Saturday, 9/19

0800-0930 Veterans Administration Update, (Optional) Harborview Room

1000-1500: Optional Golf Tournaments. Hackers – Sail Ho Par 3. Serious golfers – Riverwalk Golf Course

Optional activities entire day - San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Harbor Cruises. Hotel will shuttle participants.

1800 – 2100: Mess Night, Holiday Inn

Sunday, 9/20

0800: Class meeting/More city activities/travel home

TBS 4-67 Reunion Golf Outing, September 19, San Diego, CA

For the semi-serious golfers (scramble):

First tee time, 11:00am @ the Riverwalk Golf Club, 1150 Fashion Valley Road, San Diego

$115.00 golf package includes:

Green fees, shared cart and range balls

Grill ticket (choice of burger, hotdog, deli sandwich, chips and soft drink)

Titleist rental clubs are available for $45.00 which is cheaper that costs to take your own on the plane.

For the non-serious, just having fun golfers:

“The Hit & Giggle”

First tee time, 11:00 am @ the Sail Ho Golf Club, 2960 Truxtun Road, San Diego which is a 9 hole, par 3 course.

$20.00 golf package includes:

Green fees, pull cart optional ($5.00)

Rental clubs are available for $8.00

The Sail Ho Golf club also has food facilities.
