____1.Provide leadership in the areas of early literacy/math experiences to parents of Pre-Kindergarten students participating in the Pre-K Early Start Grant.

____2.Communicate and promote high expectations for parents and students participating in the Pre-K Early Start Grant.

____3.Responsible for recruitment, orientation, training and management of parents as trained volunteers in the Pre-K instructional setting.

____6.Monitor the level of implementation and effectiveness of the Socorro ISD Pre-K Early Start Grant parent involvement program through an ongoing needs assessment process and data collection and analysis.

____7.Coordinate state and local professional development activities.

____8.Use the Texas Association of School Boards Parent Involvement Handbook as a guide in training parents and volunteers.

____9.Implement the Family Literacy program through parent training sessions provided by District Title I parent liaisons.

____10. Serve as liaison between schools and District departments.

____11. Publicize Pre-K parent involvement events and activities.

____12.Uphold and adhere to safety rules and policies of the Socorro independent School District safety program.
