Corporate Partnerships Manager

PURPOSE OF DIVISION: Through capacity building and through technical and programme support, the International Programme Division keeps the organisation focused on the socio-economic and humanitarian needs of vulnerable people.The division reinforces IR’s implementing structure to enable these people and their communities to develop themselves sustainably, and ensures that the organisation is prepared to respond promptly and effectively to humanitarian crises.
The division increases the organisation’s ability to tackle poverty by developing and fostering partnerships and institutional relationships effectively and proactively, and by ensuring transparent and timely reporting to the organisation’s donors.
JOB Purpose The Corporate Partnerships Manager job purpose is to develop and strengthen partnership with a aim to increase corporate funding for the organisation

KEYACCOUNTABILITIES
The job holder is accountable for fulfilling his or her roles and responsibilities in line with Islamic values and principles of fairness, humanity, honesty, respect and fair treatment of his/her colleagues and staff.
Corporate Strategy- In consultation with the relevant stakeholders- develop and implement corporate relationship strategy, including analysis of UK and global corporate portfolio growth and increased engagement.
- Liaise with regional programme teams to analyse and prepare portfolio of programmes for corporate funding
- Develop, monitor and report on annual income targets from corporate sector
- Develop and approach various potential corporate partners and project Islamic relief strategy
1-Develop, promote and facilitate appropriate partnership according to the organisational and corporate strategy
2-Prepare funding applications in close consultation with the relevant country and thematic programmes and deliver pitches to prospective corporate supporters
3-Ensure all the requirements of compliance in terms of reporting are met
4-Develop materials and communicate for corporate events and provide support to relevant country offices in organising similar events
5-Actively pursue interested corporate supporters to support Islamic Relief’s programme out of their social corporate responsibility
6-Monitor corporate funding trends and participate in related workshops and meetings
7-Maintain a database of all corporate funding in compliance with the data protection policy
Budgets and reporting
1-Ensure that appropriate systems and procedures are in place to manage and monitor income and expenditure against agreed targets, and reporting requirements.
2-To undertake any other tasks in liaison with the head of department.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
It is essential that the post holder shows a good understanding and empathy with the Islamic values and principles as well as commitment to IRW’s vision and mission.
Skills and Qualification
1-Graduate degree in related discipline and excellent communication skills both in writing and speaking
2-Significant experience of corporate partnership management and of achieving income targets of worth £2,000,000 + per annum.
3-Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills and the passion to enthuse and inspire support.
4-Experience of assisting in developing fundraising strategies or leading on strategy development for a specific area of work, including setting targets, objectives and developing new opportunities for growth.
5-Excellent writing and speaking skills in English
6-Ability to deliver against targets and Key Performance Indicators
