The obvious purpose of the fundraisers is to raise money for our trip. The less obvious and very necessary functions of these events is that we begin to form a team with everyone getting to know each other. Participation in fundraisers is necessary for youth and adults to feel part of the team.

Personal Expenses

Reach requests that we provide our own basic tools, list attached. Dinner on Wednesday (a half day for work) and any activity that we do that afternoon/evening will be the financial responsibility of each workcamper. In the past we have usually had a picnic in a local park which has kept this expense to a minimum. This will be decided by YONk, based on group interest. There will probably be the opportunity to purchase snacks and ice cream during the week also. The total personal expenses should not exceed $60.00 per person. Please do not bring large amounts of cash.

Workcamper Eligibility

To be eligible to attend workcamp participation in Sunday School, youth evening meetings, fundraisers and mission trip specific meetings is required. This trip is a “Reach” in many ways. Proper preparation spiritually and relationally is as important, or more important, than being prepared physically.
