Little Knights Preschool Application for Fall of 2017
Little Knights Preschool is an integrated preschool program providing quality learning experiences for children ages 3, 4, and 5. A warm caring staff provides plenty of “hands on” developmentally appropriate activities that will nurture your child’s growth and make their transition into kindergarten run much smoother. Students are exposed to a variety of experiences which reinforce independence, socialization, self-help skills, creative play, language, cognitive skills, pre-math and pre-reading skills, direction following, and physical development. We do ask that children are potty trained and must be able to use the bathroom on their own.
We offer classes that meet three or four, 1/2 days per week, both mornings and afternoons. If you were looking for a two day option this year please note that on application and we will contact you to see if we can work something out with you.
All preschool classes are held in the LCWM Elementary School.
Licensed Early Childhood teachers teach classes with experienced paraprofessionals assisting.
Children can register only if they are 3 by September 1st, 2017.
$105.00 per month/ 9 months for three days per week
$140.00 per month/ 9 months for four days per week
A $35.00 registration fee is required to reserve your child’s place in class.
This is a non-refundable deposit (unless there is no room in a class).
The fee will not be applied toward the first month’s tuition.
We are a Four Star Parent Aware Program and can accept Early Learning Scholarships!
We will work with all families to find financial assistance to make attending our program a possibility!
Bus transportation for preschool students MAY be provided assuming the following criteria are understood and met:
*Preschoolers will ride the K-12 big busses to school, if in a morning class, and home from school, if in an afternoon class. The midday busses will be small busses with seatbelts. The only exception to this is if the child has an I.E.P. and it is written into the plan for them to have transportation.
*The family is unable to provide transportation due to lack of a vehicle or the child is picking transported to or from day care.
*Address of pick up and drop off falls within the designated bus routes. We cannot pick up a child if there is not a designated bus stop at or by that address.
*Cost of bussing will be an additional monthly cost added to your child’s preschool tuition. Lake Crystal Bus Company and Champlain Bus have not determined this cost as of yet. In the past it has been $60.00/month for 4 day and $44.00/month for 3 day. Cost would be ½ if only riding one way. Cost is the same for riding the big or little busses, even when riding with elementary students. The fee is divided by 9 months so the charge is the same every month. There is no fee waiving for transportation and we cannot scholarship this cost. Tuition must be current to receive transportation. This does not pertain to the Early Learning Scholarships.
*Bus times for the start of school may not be available until the week before school begins. Classes begin Tuesday, September 12th, 2017.
