JANUARY NEWSLETTER
Dear Parents,
A very warm welcome back.. This term we welcome Grace and James and their families to pre-school and we look forward to helping them settle in and make friends. We have lots of planned activities including outside play so please do send in warm outdoor clothes and wellies each day (Named please).
For our new families, a little about ‘focus children’ Each week we include individual children in our plans, so planning activities based on their interests and learning styles, details are on our notice board. Please do speak to your child’s key person about current interests and it’s nice to share their favourite stories with the group. As well as monthly newsletters, there is information on our noticeboards in the windows about many different topics.
School Admissions
Just a reminder that the on-line application system’s deadline is 15th January 2017. Further information regarding making an application, including a school catchment checker, can be found at . You can also call 033 301 42903 for further advice.
Contacting Pre-School
If you need to speak to a member of staff regarding any issues at all, please can you call the Pre-School landline – 01798 815467 and not staff mobiles. If your child is unwell please call the above number in the morning. In accordance with our Safeguarding & Protecting Children Policy, staff mobiles are not in use at all during the session and also staff do not attend every sessions so messages can get missed. Whilst talking about mobiles, please could you check we have the correct information regarding contact details, we suggest that you include at least two contact numbers as well as parent contact details. Sometimes when changing mobiles, it ‘s easy to forget to pass on the details. Thank you.
Thursday afternoons
We are now open Thursday afternoons 12-3pm. If you are interested, please let me know. Indeed if you are interested in any further sessions, including from Easter onwards, please let me know.
Committee Meeting Wednesday 25th January
We would like to invite all our parents to attend this meeting. It is an informal get together where issues relating to the pre-school are discussed, it’s a great way of getting involved in your child’s early education and meeting new people. Please let a member of staff know if you are able to attend (details on the noticeboard).

We are working on a new website and would like to include some parent testimonials. We would be really grateful if you could complete the attached and return to pre-school asap. Thank you.
