Exercise 1:

  • Select 06LEGFIN
  • Copy Version to a practice version: Copy 06LEGFIN to 06STUXXX (user’s initials)
  • Look at Version Security for new version
  • Return to Main Menu, find and select new version
  • Add the version to your Favorites
  • Limit Versions to My Versions, check Version Drop-Down
  • Limit Versions to Favorite Versions
  • Do a Project Listing and view Project Data

  • Filter Projects as follows: Route 5, Leg District 22, Olympic Region, Thurston County, Improvement Program, Environmental Retrofit Sub-Program, Construction Phase, 05 TPA funding
  • Project Listing
  • Drill Down to Detail Screen
  • Return to Main Menu
  • Create a Bookmark to save filter settings
  • Clear all selections
  • Load the new Bookmark
  • Delete the Bookmark
  • Clear all selections

  • SelectKingCounty
  • Select Sub-Programs I1, I2, and I4
  • Calculate # of Projects Button
  • Project Listing: What is the List Total for all Projects? What is the total for the Current Biennium?
  • Go back to the Main Menu and Click the Group Summary button for Sub-Programs: What are the totals for each Sub-Program? Do the totals for all sub-programs match those for your Project listing?
  • Go back to the Main Menu and click the Clear Sub-Programs selection button
  • Calculate # of Projects button
  • Click the Group Summary for Sub-Programs: What other Sub-Programs are listed besides I1, I2, and I4?
  • Preview the List
  • Create a PDF of the list from the Crystal viewer and save it to your desktop

  • Fill in other boxes
  • Save the Project
  • Add Fund Type 1-State to the Preliminary Engineering Phase
  • Approval Code L
  • Save the Phase and Fund Type
  • Enter some dollar amounts and save
  • Edit Phase, Fund Type…
  • Add Right of Way Phase
  • Enter a Start Date of 09/01/2008, End Date 07/31/2009
  • Add Fund Type 1-State
  • Add Fund Type 3-Federal, Approval Code L
  • Enter some dollar amounts for each
  • Add a Construction Phase, with one or two Fund Types
  • Enter some dollar amounts for the Construction Phase
  • Save the Project
  • Delete the Federal funds from the Right of Way phase
