INTRO:
Greetings. Welcome to the opening of the Temple.
This ritual is called a Puja, which means literally means "Worship." We will be simultaneously invoking and honoring the Tantric deities. This is called a double puja because we are honoring both the God Shiva and the Goddess Shakti.
The Priest and Priestess, as Shiva and Shakti, will be offering gifts to each other, then passing these gifts to you. Feel free to partake of the gift, as you are also God and Goddess.
We ask that you open yourself up to the energies being created during the ritual.
At the end, we will repeat the word "Om" several times, We would like you all to chant with us. If you came with your partner, we suggest you sit next to each other, and, as we chant, you can turn to face each other.
As the rite ends, we will draw the curtains, then sound the bells. The Priest and Priestess will be in deep meditation, and will remain in that state indefinitely. Stay if you Will, go if you must.
Once the bells ring, the temple will be open exclusively for adult use.
Shiva Worship:
Candle- Father of all, master of the mystery of matter, I light this flame as a symbol of your radiance. Thou who art all that is substance, I dearly seek your presence tonight.
Incense - Brother of my mind, twin of my energy, how I dream of your radiant smile. You fill my thoughts both day and night. Open my mind to accept your truths. Come create a reality of my fantasies and join us on this physical plane.
Water - Singer of the songs of Life and love! I long to hear your voice, so full of beautiful melody! Your very name is a prayer upon my lips. I long to hear you whisper soft words of beauty against my ears. Your presence is a boon, and I am grateful.
Flower - Ah, keeper of my heart! Lover of my many lifetimes! Come to me and let me wrap my arms around you! Let me hear the pounding pulse of creation within your veins! Bring your energies to bear here tonight.
Rice - Thou who art my protector, so brave and strong and swift! He who stops all foes with one mighty stroke! Allow me to show you my appreciation as I offer to you the physical body of this Priest, as my gift to you.
Chocolate - Thou who shall fill my body with life, share with me! My body shall be your table, and your desires shall be my master! I sacrifice to thee, Lord Shiva, this human male form so that your presence can manifest in our rite. Take this body and do with it as you Will.
Wine - Oh blessed Lord Shiva! Every part of my being yearns for your presence! Cover me in your love! Penetrate my being with all that you are. Manifest within this Priest; In this way, I shall bask in your energies. Join me tonight in this, the most sacred of acts. Om Namah Shivaya!
