Permission is granted by the American Kennel Club for the holding of these events under American Kennel Club Rules and Regulations.

Open to all AKC registered Herding Breeds and all other breeds approved by the AKC to compete in AKC tests/trials as of September 1, 2011 and dogs with PAL/ILP #s in these breeds, nine months of age or older. Swedish Vallhunds will be given priority one week before the opening to enter this Test/Trial (August 25 – September 1, 2011). Once trial has filled entries will be placed on a waiting list. Those dogs on the waiting list will be notified on or before the closing date.
LIMITED ENTRIES: 50 runs per judge per day. This count does not include the instinct test.
A second judge will be added for instinct test should the trial fill.
Entries Close: Saturday, October 15, 20116:00 pm at Secretary’s office after which time entries cannot be accepted, canceled or substituted. When numerical limit is reached, additional entries will be placed on alternate’s list.

Continue on 108 for approximately 15 miles (curvy two-lane paved road). Cross Broad River (concrete bridge). Crossroads at top of next hill is intersection of Pleasant Hill Road and 108. Turn LEFT onto Pleasant Hill Road. (Turning right takes you to the PHF Hereford Farm). Continue on Pleasant Hill Road. Stay right at fork just past Pleasant HillChurch. Continue on Pleasant Hill Road until it ends on Maple Creek Road. Turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Go a few hundred yards and take first left onto CC Lovelace Road. Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.
From the East:Take I-85 south to US74 toward Shelby. Continue through Shelby. US74 turns into US74-bypass at forest city. Continue on 74-Bypass to Union Road exit. (You will pass the exit to Rutherfordton.) Go right onto Union Road (curvy two-lane paved road) and continue about 2.5 miles to Pleasant Hill Road on the left. Take sharp turn onto Pleasant Hill Road and continue until you reach HWY 108. Cross over 108 and continue past Pleasant HillChurch where road appears to fork -- fork right. Continue on Pleasant Hill Road until it ends on Maple Creek Road. Turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Go a few hundred yards and take first left onto CC Lovelace Road. Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.
From the North: From I-40 (between Statesville and Asheville) take HWY 221 south towards Rutherfordton. Go about 20 miles on HWY 221. Take HWY74-64 exit off 221. (If you go into town you've gone too far.) Turn right onto HWY74-64 away from bridge and continue short distance until road ends. Turn left following signs to Hospital. Go 100 yards and turn right onto Maple Creek Road. Continue on Maple Creek Road 4-5 miles. Cross narrow bridge at sharp curve then take next right (CC Lovelace Road). Follow CC Lovelace Road until you see large yellow farmhouse on left. Maple Creek Quarter Horses is across the road.
From the South: Take I-26 to HWY 108. Follow Same directions as if coming from the West.

No un-entered dogs (except set-out dogs) will be allowed at the trial site.
ABSOLUTELY NO PUPPIES UNDER 6 MONTHS OF AGE ALLOW ED ON THE PROPERTY. All dogs present must be held on leash or otherwise restricted except when working stock. Under NO circumstance will dogs be allowed to disturb the resting stock or interfere outside the arena with another dog’s performance in the arena. Any dogs aggressive to persons or stock will be removed. (See Chapter 1, Section 20 of the American Kennel Club HERDING REGULATIONS). NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED. Please bring your own chairs, shade, etc. Water and soda will be available for sale. All American Kennel Club rules regarding conduct will be strictly enforced. OWNERS OR THEIR AGENTS are solely responsible for the presence of their dog(s) and at test/trial arena. Judges are not required to wait for dogs. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. NO CONDITIONAL ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED. ENTRIES NOT ON OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS AND PHOTOCOPIES OF ENTRY FORMS WITHOUT THE AGREEMENT AND RULES ON THE REVERSE SIDE OF THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORMS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE. I (we) certify and represent that the dog entered is not a hazard to persons or other dogs. This entry is submitted for acceptance on the foregoing representation and agreement. I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient.
