HISTORY
Lite Cart Corporation is the leading manufacturer of High Line Docks. Our 17 years of experience, in thebuilding and designing of high line docks, allows us to meet our customer’s expanding needs.
In 1995, we released our 528 series of high line docks.Manufacturing 81 of the 528 series until the release of our 553 series in 1999, which produced 101 units.
In 2002, at the request of the American Air Force engineering personnel, Lite Cart introduced the 545 Heavy Duty Series of high line docks. Over 250 of model series 545 high line docks are in operation worldwide.
Our most recent model series 555was released in April, 2011. This series incorporates several new designed features.
GENERAL SCOPE
The 555 series of heavy duty high line docks is a free standing, galvanized steel reinforced frame structure. Docks consist of six, 8 foot sections, supported by seven heavy duty supports. Horizontal supports bolt to the bottom of each main support. Diagonal braces connect each support to the horizontal braces. This forms a very rugged, bridge like structure. Our 555 series is designed specifically to hold six, 463L pallets with capacity levels up to 12,500 lbs. each. Units also hold type V platforms and containers up to108 inches wide. Total load combinations up to 80,000 lbs.

Model 555001 - Comes with two regular end sections. No side loading capabilities.
Model 555001A - Same as model 555001, but with aluminum hand rail option.
Model 556001 - Comes with one regular end section and one special side entry end section. Allows for side loading from one end of the unit.
Model 556001A - Same as model 556001, but with aluminum hand rail option.
Model 557001 - Comes with two special side entry end sections. Allows for side loading from both ends of the unit.
Model 557001A - Same as model 557001, but with aluminum hand rail option.

DESIGN FEATURES
We have incorporated many new design features into our 555 series of high line docks.
- New center supports under the special side entry end sections,prevents damagefrom over loading.
- New 15” tapered foot pads allows the units to slide if struck by a “K-loader”
- End caps that eliminate catch points on all chamford conveyor ends.
- Removable fork tine deflectors on the end sections of the docks.
- Self- aligning shaft couplings that connects the four stop shafts and provides uniform stop control.
- Adjustable spring for stop return.
- Self-closing personnel access gate
WORK PLATFORM
The work platform of the 555 series of docks consists of four conveyor roller lanes with foot slip/chain catch protection between rollers. Each conveyor lane consists of a 2.5 inch dia. x 6 inch roller with 600 lb. capacity. Rollers are located on six inch centers. Heavy duty rollers are installed on the ends of each conveyor section. Bearings are light oiled and sealed.
Three, nineteen inch wide walkways are located in between each of the four conveyor lanes. All of our walkways are reinforced underneath to prevent easy bending and buckling. The outside walkways have an added safety bar on the outside edge to prevent feet from slipping off the edge. When the hand rail is removed, the outside walkways can be lowered under the guide rail to allow access to the pallet surface.
The heavy duty guide rail is constructed from 6 inch x 6 inch x 3/8 inch thick angle. The end section guide rails are beveled for easier loading and unloading of the dock.
Our 555 series of docks now offers a choice of one piece welded hand rail;
Standard: Galvanized hand rail, 2 inch square steel tubing.
Optional: Aluminum hand rail, 2 inch square tubing. Less than half the weight of the steel hand rail for easier removal.
All units come with two access ladders with self-closing personnel access gates.
GENERAL INFORMATION AND CAPABILITIES
PALLETS – Dock has been designed to hold six 463L pallets of 12,500 lbs. each. 80,000 lbs. total.
PLATFORMS – Dock has been designed to hold type V platforms with total loads up to 80,000 lbs. 1,875 lbs. per linear foot.
CONTAINERS – Various flat bottom containers up to 108 inches wide.
Combination loads of above up to 80,000 lbs.
ASSEMBLY – The dock has been designed for easy assembly. All the
necessaryhardware and tools along with detailed
instructions are provided. The dock can be unpacked
and set up by 3 men in a day. A fork lift will be
needed to move and locate the supports, conveyors, and
guide rails. Walkways and hand rails are easy to install
after the frame is assembled. The dock must be located
on a hard surface. (note: a generator and power tools make assembly easier, but are not necessary
SHIPPING - Our docks have been designed to ship on two shrink
wrappedskids. Skids are 44 inches wide x 110 inches long x 5 feet high. Each weighs about 6000 lbs.
