In an effort to further promote safety, the Heavy Construction Contractors Association (HCCA) Safety Committee has created The HCCA Safe Employee Award. As opposed to the traditional HCCA Safety Awards which recognize good safety practices of member firms, the HCCA Safe Employee Award recognizes individual employees who have demonstrated exemplary efforts to promote and realize a safe work environment. The person(s) who receives this award will have made a significant impact on the safety of their work environment by:
- Consistently demonstrating excellent safety practices
- Suggesting improvements of safety practices
- Demonstrating safe work practices to others
This award is open to all employees of HCCA member firms (with the exception of employees who work as safety officers). The nominee must have worked for the member firm in 2017 and be currently employed by the member firm.
This application must be completed and returned to the HCCA office by Thursday, March 1st, 2018. This year, the application can be completed and submitted on line.
