The vision of the Oxford Academy Foreign Language Department is to invite and equip our students with communicative language ability and cultural awareness

so that they are successful in today’s global society. Our mission is to make world language a part of our students’ lives. We are therefore committed to provide an educational and meaningful journey. Teamwork is part

of the means to accomplish this mission and we are confident that our program will serve our students’ needs.

Your grades will be computed based on the following grading scales:

Quizzes & Tests: / 40% / 90 – 100% / = A
Portfolios & Projects: / 20% / 80 – 89% / = B
Homework: / 15% / 70 – 79% / = C
Oral Production: / 25% / 60 – 69% / = D

HALF CREDIT will be given for late work (project grades will drop one letter per day). Absentees will have oneday for each absence to make-up work. Our goal is to maintain high academic standards. Therefore, extra credit will not be available.

Work is to be turned in at the beginning of class. IF YOU NEED HELP, PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR TEACHER OR CALL YOUR TELEPHONE BUDDY! USE YOUR ENRICHMENT TIME WISELY!
