A Special Way(Gloria Yi)- provides fellowship opportunities for families + a team that loves and cares for children with special needs during Sunday morning worship services. Once a month Sunday afternoon board games are offered to children with special needs and their family members (usually on the 3rd Sunday of each month).

A Woman’s Place – A domestic violence community benefit organization, there is a wide array of opportunities for volunteers from sorting donations in the Thrift store to clerical to working with clients.

Adopt-A-Highway(Joe Englert)- Join the work crew up to four times a year to pick up debris along the 2 roads Woodside adopted in LMT.

Black Jack Ministry- (Scott Burgess & Dave Wollman) Help bring the joy of fellowship to men afflicted with Alzheimer’s at the Spring Village at Floral Vale facility. One Thursday a month, 6:15pm to 7:30pm, we play blackjack with a group of men with varying levels of dementia. Stakes are bragging rights only.

Bucks County Housing Group – Be a pantry volunteer at the Penndel Food Pantry or a Food Pickup volunteer to pick up from ShopRite, Yardley for delivery to pantry Mon and Wed mornings.

Clothed With Compassion(Kristine Wojnovich) - Meets the last Saturday of the month to sew pillowcase dresses, clothing items, and accessories for children in need around the world. If you don’t sew on a machine but can knit or crochet, join us too! - we have patterns from World Vision to make baby blankets, sweaters and caps.

Clothing Drive(Judy Jones) - Held in the fall and spring, this is a collection drive of clothes, shoes, bed linens and comforters for the Rescue Mission of Trenton.

Code Blue(Hilary Walp) - Reach out the homeless by registering to be a Code blue volunteer. This team coordinates the efforts of providing a warm place to sleep for homeless in Lower Bucks County. Woodside hosts for one month December – March.

Collection Items for Cash- Items collected on an on-going basis to support the ministries and missions of Woodside. Currently includes: McCaffrey’s register receipts, Box Tops for Education and Ink jet cartridges.

Deserving Décor – Help furnish and decorate an apartment for women and children leaving domestic violence or homeless shelters by providing household essentials and updating/repurposing old furniture.

Dinner Ministry Plus(Susan Schmauder) - A year-round team effort in support of three different programs to aid the homeless and less fortunate in the area.

  • Dinner Ministry- An evening meal at 6pm on the second Monday of each month.
  • Cornucopia- A non-perishable food collection that is delivered to area food pantries. Donations can be put on the shelves located near the sanctuary.
  • Aid for Friends -Prepare frozen meals for homebound. Last Thursday of each month, noon -2:00pm., or other convent time for your group.

Face to Face – Help meet basic needs and reduce suffering of struggling families, individuals and the homeless. Help prepare and serve a meal Fri. – Tues. Help with light construction, painting, electrical and plumbing projects. Located in Philadelphia.

Family Promise (Carolyn Gaul) – Be part of the team that helps homeless families with children who are working toward returning to permanent housing. Woodside will host up to 4 families for 1 week 4 times a year. Year round help needed at FP Day Center.

Family Service Assoc. - Offers a variety of services for adults, seniors, those with substance abuse, mental illness, children and teens, and the homeless. Opportunities to serve in the kitchen, pantry, office, housing link and many others!

Gift of Life Family House – Join the Home Cook Hero program by preparing dinner, brunch or baked goods for transplant patients and their families. Located in Philadelphia.

Habitat for Humanity(Rob Baron) - A team to serve Habitat for Humanity in Bucks County and Trenton. Build or rehab houses, support various events as well as volunteer at Restore.

Hands in Service – A Christian organization that redistributes new, donated products (clothing, bibles, diapers, toys, etc) received from corporations to charitable organizations in the US and abroad. Serve in the donation distribution center sorting donations.

Interfaith Food Alliance (Holly Gaenzle) – Help fight hunger in Lower Bucks through education, advocacy and feeding hungry children and their families through the Family Backpack Center.

Impact!, Good Stuff Thrift, Goodwill Thrift Stores – sorting, organization, clerical and sales at area thrift stores.

Manor Care Worship(Cyndy Montes)- Be a part of the team that leads worship at Manor Care on the first Sunday afternoon of every month.

Prayer Shawl Ministry (Tracy Thomas & Maria Wilson) - Knit or crochet a prayer shawl for those mourning a loss. No experience required.We meet on Thursdays 1pm. See “Clothed with Compassion” for other knit/crochet opportunities.

Prison & Recovery Ministry(Scott Burgess) - A variety of opportunities to serve in the following ministries:

  • Prison Worship Service - Every Tuesday and every other Wednesday we lead praise and worship in a local Philadelphia men’s prison.
  • Recovery Worship Service - Held quarterly at Woodside, this service and luncheon offers support to those in recovery.
  • Road to Recovery Meetings - Recovery meetings every Friday night at the Christian Life Center in Bensalem.
  • Road to Recovery 12 Step Bible Study - A study to the support those in recovery or struggling with addictions every Thursday night in Frankford.
  • Conquering Grounds Café - Help serve at a monthly coffee house for individuals and families affected by substance abuse. CGC serves up Christian bands, plus FREE refreshments in a laid-back atmosphere. ALL are invited to this FREE event!

Ronald McDonald House – Become a guest chef by providing a dinner or weekend breakfast for the families staying in the Philadelphia Ronald McDonald House. Become a weekday Breakfast Buddy by stocking the next morning’s healthy breakfast options.

Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK)–Help serve a meal, wrap utensils, assemble breakfast/lunch/dinner bags, donate hygiene kits, make baked goods, entertain clients and tutor adults.

Urban Promise, Trenton -(Kathie Bentley) Provide after school tutoring to under privileged children, 1-5 grades, and mentorship to staff members and senior high students. Administrative help and grant writing.

Woodside Helping Hands – (Deacons) A support team to help Woodside members; rides to doctor appointments, childcare, help around the house.
