Funding Proposal Requirements and Guidelines

GASC Mission

The Gender and Sexuality Commission (GASC) actively promotes awareness of issues pertaining to gender and sexuality as well as sexual assault. To accomplish this task, GASC works with campus resources pertaining to such issues and combines outreach efforts, publicity drives and special projects to educate students and assist campus reform. GASC assists in the coordination of an abundance of educational programs annually including Reproductive Justice Week, workshops, panels and keynote speakers.

Meetings

Meetings take place weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM in Hart Hall, room 3114

Process

Grant funds are available for undergraduate organizations only. The organization must be registered, such as with the Center for Student Involvement, to apply. The applications are available to download on the ASUCD Gender and Sexuality website.

Each group requesting funding must submit an original application with supporting documents (receipts and estimates for item requesting funding). When submitting applications each group will have an opportunity to present their request to GASC and answer any questions they may have. If during allocations the commission has additional questions, the applicant will be contacted. Organizations must be in the process of meeting with, or have prior communication with the commission chair or vice chair.

In the past, GASC has allocated a yearly average of $200 per organization
