Dear Commitment Class Parents,

Our Commitment Class Worship Experience on Sunday, January 10th is quickly approaching! The Worship Experience is a required element of the year for ninth grade students and at least one parent or guardian. All students who wish to become members at the end of the year must complete this activity. Its purpose is twofold: first, to allow both students and parents to encounter God in a different way from what we experience at CPC as we unite with the larger Body of Christ, and second, to give you a chance to connect with other families from your son or daughter’s small group.

Due to our large numbers, not everyone in CC will be able to attend the same service; small groups will attend together, however! We have contacted 10 churches around the Twin Cities that are excited to have us worship with them. Students, parents, and small group leaders will meet in CPC’s main office (enter through the North Entrance) at their assigned time to check-in, receive directions and a student assignment sheet, and will carpool to their assigned church. Following the worship service, feel free to grab lunch together and discuss what you experienced and observed (not required though)!

Key Details

·  Small Group Leader Name: Natalie Ringham & Alana Barnhart

·  Check- In Time: Meet at 9 AM inside the main office of CPC (come through the north entrance). From there, you will carpool to the church service.

·  Church Assignment & Address: Mercy Vineyard – 1121 Jackson Street NE, Suite 130, Minneapolis, MN 55413 **service starts at 9:30 AM

Please note that due to our large numbers, we want to be careful not to overwhelm the smaller congregations we are worshipping with. Because of this, we ask that only a parent or parents and CC students attend. Please contact me to discuss an alternative arrangement if your student is unable to attend or if this causes problems with your family’s ability to attend Sunday morning worship.

Thanks for your willingness to support your student throughout this year. I have had a great time with these students and I look forward to this experience. I know it will give all of us an opportunity to remember how big God is and to hopefully experience Him in new ways!

Blessings,
