What IS Young Life?
Teenagers today are facing enormous pressures. The use of drugs and alcohol among teenagers is up. The amount of sexual activity and the use of tobacco products is up. Peer pressure is thriving and shows no signs of weakening. The decisions that kids are making at this age have long-term effects on their future. Choices made now can place students on a path to a fulfilling life, or ensnare them in a life of frustration and failure.
Young Life believes that teenagers today are searching for a fulfilling life. Their experiments with drugs, sex, and alcohol are the outpourings of that deeper need. Young Life also believes that a fulfilling life can only be obtained through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Only when we are connected to our Creator can we live life as it was meant to be.
For over 30 years, Young Life has taken that message to the lost and disinterested teens in the Tulsa area. We communicate God’s love through weekly Young Life Club meetings, Campaigner Bible Studies, and Outreach Camps. But most of all, our staff and volunteers communicate this message by loving kids unconditionally. By investing time with them in their world and developing friendships, we earn the right to tell them the greatest news in the world.
We would love for your child to be a part of what we are doing in North Tulsa Young Life, our weekly meeting takes place at the Hutcherson YMCA, 1120 E.
