Romano Cheese Crisp

Ingredients:

10 half inch slices of French Baguette bread

2 Tbsp. grated Romano or Parmesan cheese

1 clove garlic, minced

2 oz. cream cheese, softened

Recipe Preparation:

Set oven on broil. Measure the grated cheese and cream cheese and put in small bowl. Mince garlic. In small bowl, mix together cheeses and garlic with a fork. Spread mixture evenly onto bread slices using butter knife. Place bread slices onto pan. Put pan on top rack of oven and cook until cheese melts and bread is golden brown (2-4 minutes). Take bread out of oven, and using a spatula, put it on serving plates.

**Want to make this recipe healthier like we did? Use low fat Neufchatel cream cheese and low fat grated cheese!! You can also use a whole grain bread rather than white! This recipe is healthy because it not only gives energy from the carbohydrates in the bread, but the cream cheese also provides some calcium for strong bones and healthy teeth!**
