Course Description

A continuation of the practical study of basic instrumental conducting, score reading techniques and introductory score analysis.

Student Learning Outcomes

The student will demonstrate the ability to conduct in all styles, tempi, and meters.

The student will demonstrate the ability to use the left and right hands independently.

The student will demonstrate score reading skills.

The student will demonstrate score analysis skills.

Grading Policy

50%—Attendance, Class Participation and Conducting Preparation: 5% will be deducted from your grade for each absence, except in case of emergency or university commitment; 2% will be deducted for each unexcused tardiness.
