Mrs. Kimble Honored: Trinity Catholic Academy’s 6th Grade Teacher, Mrs. Kimble was honored at the La Salle County Award’s Banquet at Celebrations on May 1st for retiring after 20 years of teaching. You will be missed by all of us!!
$1 Jeans Day: There will be a $1 Jeans Day on Friday, May 16th to benefit the Tri-County Early Head Start Program for children with disabilities. It will be $1.00 for jeans and $1.00 for non-uniform shirt. The organization is also in need of paper towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, toothbrushes, hand & dish soap, cleaning supplies, diapers, wipes, razors, laundry detergent, shampoos and baby items.
7th Grade State History Fair!! Congratulations and good luck to Drezdan Dale,
Alec Nawa, Marisa Piano, Aiden Repsel and Clair Pangrcic who advanced to the State History Fair in Springfield on May 8th. Way to represent TCA!!!
Save the Date: TCA’s Stone Jug Fundraiser will be on Friday, May 16th. All proceeds will go to the new gym floor fund!!
TCA Graduation Dates:
8th Grade Graduation: Wednesday, May 21st @ 7:00 p.m. St. Hyacinth’s Church
Preschool Graduation: Friday, May 23rd @ 10:00 a.m. Holy Rosary Church Basement
Kindergarten Graduation: Tuesday, May 27th 9:15 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church.
There will be a reception in the Church basement following the graduation.
Athletic Banquet Awards: Two very special awards are given out 8th Grade Students at the athletic banquet. The first award is The Groleau Award given to an 8th Grade Boy Basketball player and an 8th Grade Girl Basketball Player. The award is in memorandum of Coach Ronald K. Groleau and his wife Elaine M. Groleau. The award is based on honor roll academic performance, good personal conduct and good basketball ability. Congratulations to Jackson Funsfinn for receiving the Groleau Award for Boys Basketball. Two 8th grade girls were just a tenth of a point from each other, so the award was presented to 2 8th grade girls. Congratulations to Mollie May and Maggie Smith for receiving the Groleau Award for Girls Basketball. The second award is The Battaglia Award given in memorandum of Patti Battaglia to an 8th grade volleyball player. The award is based on honor roll academic performance, good personal conduct and good volleyball ability. Congratulations to Maggie Smith, this year’s recipient of The Battaglia Award!!
Illinois State Recognition Visit: TCA was fully evaluated and has been assigned the recognition status of Fully Recognized for the 2013-2014 School Year!!
Emmaus Days: Attention 7th & 8th Grade Boys!! Emmaus Days will be held at St. Bede Academy July 9th through July 11th.
New Gym Floor Fund - We Are Less Than $10,000 Away From Our Goal!!!!: Wow!!! Such at exciting time at TCA!! We are over half way to our goal of $30,000 with $21,035 to date!!! We earned $5,000 from our 5K!! We received a generous donation of $5,000 from Fairmont Minerals!! This also includes donations from The Mike Pangrcic Family, The Shawn Koehler Family, O.J. Stoutner, Marie Gorishek, James Arkins, Diane Marchesi, Judy Raccuglia, Ken & Arlene Kwit, Linda & Lucy Kleczewski, The Lauer Family, Wal-Mart Distribution through Maria DeLaTorre’s Volunteer Work Hours.

2nd Annual TCA 5K: Trinity Catholic Academy would like to thank the following sponsors for their generous donations which allowed us to host our 2nd annual 5k run/walk on April 26th.
