Based on research conducted by the Home Improvement Research Institute (HIRI), Moen found consumers are increasingly looking for options and experiences that provide relief from the pressures of modern living. MotionSense™
Imagine the convenience of having a kitchen faucet that can sense what you’re trying to accomplish, and with a simple wave of the hand, immediately respond to your needs. New MotionSense™ from Moen utilizes advanced sensors to detect a user’s movement, setting water flow in motion, as if on command. With MotionSense, tasks like washing dishes, filling a glass of water and preparing the evening meal are simplified. It’s like having a second set of hands in the kitchen.
· MotionSense provides an intuitive, hands-free kitchen faucet experience that relies on users’ simple hand movements to activate water flow
· Faucets with MotionSense can be controlled in three ways:
o The Wave Sensor at the top of the faucet starts and stops the water flow with a simple hand movement above the faucet
o The Ready Sensor near the base of the faucet identifies when an object, like a cup or your hand, is placed beneath the spout. It runs for as long as that item remains in range and automatically shuts the flow off as soon as the object is removed from the sensing zone
o The handle on the side of the faucet offers familiar, manual operation, letting users adjust flow and temperature
· Hands-free technology reduces the spread of germs
· Saves water when using Ready Sensor by supplying water only when an object or hands are within the sensing zone – eliminating the possibility of leaving the faucet running when not in use
· Powered by a battery pack that utilizes six standard AA batteries or an optional AC power adapter
· The Arbor® pulldown kitchen faucet is the first faucet to offer MotionSense
o Arbor features Moen’s Reflex® system on pullout and pulldown kitchen faucets, which improves overall hose and sprayer operation for an experience that is truly user friendly
o Arbor offers transitional styling and is available in Chrome, Oil Rubbed Bronze, and new Spot Resist™ Stainless finish, which will resist potential water spots as well as fingerprints
In the Shower and Bath
ioDIGITAL®
Moen brings the benefits of technology to the bathroom with ioDIGITAL®, the revolutionary, innovative and easy-to-use interface that gives consumers the ability to set and maintain water temperature and flow with electronic precision. The ioDIGITAL interface is extremely versatile and is available for three applications: vertical spa, shower and Roman tub.
ioDIGITAL Vertical Spa
For the ultimate blend of technology and indulgence, the ioDIGITAL vertical spa offers command of precise temperature and flow, four custom presets and one-touch activation of multiple water spray outlets. The consumer can choose custom settings with a showerhead, body spray, handshower or rainshower… or choose them all.
Specific features include:
· Four easily programmable presets
· LCD screen which displays the current temperature, active spray outlets and preset activation
· Pause feature, which briefly interrupts the shower while the user shampoos or shaves, then returns to the previous settings
· The wall-mounted interface is available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze finishes
· Optional remote control (available in Chrome or Black) offers the ability to turn the shower on from across the room, up to 9 metres away
The ioDIGITAL vertical spa trim components are built on the Moen® M•PACT® Common Valve System, which allows a homeowner to change the spa style or finish without having to change the valve. The ioDIGITAL vertical spa is available in nearly every Moen collection, to coordinate with any home décor.
ioDIGITAL Shower
Similar to the vertical spa functionality, the ioDIGITAL shower interface will recall a preferred temperature and flow at the push of a button, and the easy-to-read LED indicators will alert the user when the preferred shower matches the settings. No longer will homeowners have to guess if their shower has reached the right temperature – ioDIGITAL will alert them when it is ready.
Specific features include:
· Four easily programmable presets
· Simple dials (one for temperature/one for flow) which allow consumers to quickly and accurately set the preferred combination of temperature and flow
· Pause feature, which briefly interrupts the shower while the user shampoos or shaves, then returns to the previous setting
· The wall-mounted interface is available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze
· Optional remote control (available in Chrome or Black) offers the ability to turn on the shower from across the room, up to 9 metres away
ioDIGITAL Roman Tub
One of the most unique applications in the ioDIGITAL suite is the Roman tub. This revolutionary product will not only fill the tub to the perfect temperature, but even fill it to the desired level.
Specific features include:
· Three easily programmable presets
· Child Lock feature disables all controls and remote operation for added safety
· Waterproof interface, allowing the user to safely install in or near the bath area
· Available with or without handshower
· The wall-mounted interface is available in Chrome, Brushed Nickel and Oil Rubbed Bronze finishes
· Optional remote control (available in Chrome or Black) offers the ability to turn on the tub from across the room – up to 9 metres away; or press the Hot Top Off feature to easily warm your bath by filling the tub at the lowest flow setting with the hottest water temperature
The ioDIGITAL Roman tub is compatible with a wide range of Moen’s Roman tub styles, to coordinate with any decorating style.

Destiny®
Modern in design, the Destiny® hands-free electronic faucet from Moen marries a minimalist look with the benefits of touchless activation.
· Faucet features curves, hard angles and a distinctly styled spout that produces a clear, sheeting flow of water that coordinates with the faucet’s unique look
· Sensors detect motion to start and stop the flow of water, limiting water waste and aiding in conservation
