Aberdeenshire Council is looking for an enthusiastic individual with a genuine concern for the environment and the health and wellbeing of the public and communities in Aberdeenshire. The position would particularly suit a school leaver or someone leaving school this year. Environmental Health Officers act as advisers, educators and enforcement officers and are involved in a range of issues including: food safety, health and safety, housing, water supplies, pollution control and public health. Training consists of attendance at the University of West of Scotland to obtain a BSc Honours (Environmental Health) degree, with 48 weeks’ practical training with Aberdeenshire Council over a 4 year period. A salary will be payable during practical training (University vacation). You must qualify for and attain a place on the University of West of Scotland course, the course commencing in September 2014
