INFORMATION:

2018YMCA 3 ON 3 BASKETBALL

REGISTRATION & FEES:

Registration begins May 1st, 2018and concludes May 29th.Online Registration concludes May 27th but you may still register at the YMCA until May 29th. You may register from your home computer or stop by the YMCA to register.The fees for this season are $35.00 (YMCA Members) and $64.00 (non-members) There is a $10.00 late registration fee for anyone who registers after the registration deadline (should space allow). Please note that the registration process after the Registration Deadline must be completed here at the Greene County YMCA. Registration is on an individual basis and all participants will receive a Team T-shirt.

ELIGIBILITY:

High School Sophomores (up-and-coming) through adults are eligible.Both male and femalesmay participate. The League could be COED depending on the number of participants who register.

PLAYER SELECTION AND TEAM CAPTAINS:

Team captains are needed! Their responsibilities include selecting players for their team in a player draft and contacting those players they selected to let them know of their team selection and team schedule. If you are interested in becoming a captain, please indicate so on the application form. A Captain’s Meeting will be scheduled after the registration deadline. At this meeting, teams will be selected, a schedule will be given out, and rules will be discussed. Captains will be notified of this meeting by the Program Director.

GAMES:

All games will be played at the Greene County YMCA and will begin by mid/late-June. Games could be on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.

RULES:

A copy of the League Rules will be sent to each participant. Remember, the YMCA is a Christian organization and we all must respect its mission and principles. The 3 on 3 Basketball League is a part of our house here at the Greene County YMCA. In our house we expect people to behave, so here is our house rule: Good Clean Competition we like; fighting, trash talking,taunting, cursing, and poor character we don’t like. Break our rules and we will ban you, NO EXCEPTIONS, NO SECOND CHANCES! A Sportsmanship Rating System will be in effect and is defined in the rules. Technical fouls will be issued and / or Sportsmanship Points will be deducted for cursing, arguing, and other forms of disrespect and / or inappropriate behavior before, during, or after a game. Sportsmanship is stressed and must be displayed at all times. Any player receiving a technical foul will be immediately ejected from the game plus will serve a one game suspension. A player receiving his second technical foul (during the season) will be immediately ejected and suspended for 3 games. A player receiving his third technical foul (during the season) will be ejected from the game and will be suspended for the remainder of the season with no refund given. Any player involved in a fight will be immediately ejected and suspended from the league. Fans and spectators are also subject to these rules and penalties.
