IMPORTANT WATHABA INFORMATION

IMPORTANT!!! PLEASE FORWARD TO ALL THE MEMBERS OF YOUR GROUP

You will be spending your stay at BOTTLEBRUSH HAVEN. It is very important and COMPULSORY for each member of your group, children and babies included, who enter the farm Wathaba , to complete the Indemnity Form IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL, even if you do not swim or hike. In LEGIBLE PRINTED WRITING your NAME, SURNAME, I.D. NUMBER & SIGNATURE will be required. If no I.D. is available then BIRTH DATE is required. Parents or guardians are responsible for completing the form on behalf of children under the age of 16 .

The wood that is supplied FOR FREE is ample for your stay. Please use it SPARINGLY. If you run out of wood then more can be bought @ R40 a weelbarrow. Mattresses with clean covers are supplied. One gas lamp and a two-plategas stove, a few pots and pans, kettle and grid will also be provided. The Hydro electric lights will be switched on before dark and switched off in the morning.Please bring extra lighting in case the Hydro goes off due to bad rainy weather conditions.

PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:

  1. Sleeping bag and pillow
  2. Extra blankets. (the weather can change overnight)
  3. Sufficient clothing for all weather conditions
  4. Your own swimming and shower towels
  5. Bathing costumes
  6. A good pair of hiking boots
  7. Food and drinks
  8. All your own eating utensils, crockery, cutlery, etc. etc.
  9. Enough drying cloths for all your dishes, pots and pans.
  10. Cool bag. (THERE IS NO ELECTRICITY)
  11. Camping chairs
  12. TORCH! TORCH! TORCH! PLEASE DON’T FORGET
  13. Extra lighting as the hydro lights can go off if the river comes down in flood
  14. Peaceful sleep or Tabard
  15. A rucksack for your daily circular hikes
  16. A good quality broad spectrum sunscreen
  17. A sun hat
  18. Indoor games in case of rain
  19. Bring your own battery packs to charge your cellphone and camera equipment.
  20. An extra pair of comfortable shoes for the camp so that you need not walk with muddy hiking boots in the camp (in case of rain)

AS NO “ROOM SERVICE” IS PROVIDED IT WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED IF YOU WOULD WASH ALL YOUR DISHES BEFORE DEPARTURE. NO LITTERING PLEASE. PLEASE RESPECT THE FARM, THE NATURE, ALL THE ANIMALS, THE RIVER,AND ESPECIALLYALL YOUR FELLOW HIKERS.

NO PETS ARE ALLOWED. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE. THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION. IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED.

ALL THE WATER ON THE FARM IS DRINKABLE

TO ENSURE THAT ALL GUESTS ON WATHABA ENJOY A PEACEFUL & RELAXING WEEKEND, NO MUSIC AND LOUD NOICES WILL BE ALLOWED AT THE CAMPS.

NO FISHING WILL BE ALLOWED ON WATHABA
