2016 Budget - 2016 budget shows a conservative estimate of revenue projections for the year. Increases range from 12-21% over the 2015 budget. Summer: it’s a $15K increase over 2015, which should be easy to cover.
Flex spending account: What would the cost be to BFR and to Hana.
Suze: Paychex has a special for getting benefits.
Hana: we need more time more than I need health insurance.
Bonuses: Suze will research bonuses and how they can be distributed.
Discussion of Community Based Participatory Design Research - Hana working with Chris from CU CS to evaluate access to food. Follow-up: Summer and Hana to meet with Rachel at Public Health to get funding and discuss what is useful for Public Health.

End-of-Year Fundraising
Ashley: email fundraising plan to the team.
Hana: update on Colorado Gives day. We made almost $15K in one day. Yay!
Do we want to have an official policy of having a 6-month reserve? Summer: it’s a good practice and it’s good to check how we’re doing. But, might be hard to always keep 6 months in reserve. We could have 3-6 months and work toward keeping 6.
Fund raising campaign: customized letters out to previous donors with a target amount. Also sent letters using home sales list randomly to ask. January follow up with people.
House Bill on food waste and recovery
Bill was just written, sponsored by house rep from Maine. Caleb is asking BFR to join the push to get the bill passed. We would write a letter of support and get other organizations to support the bill. Does anyone work with Jared Polis? Summer suggesting meeting with Jared Polis to get his opinion on the bill and its chance of success. Hana: benefit to being involved even if it dies, we would get press coverage and be involved in the national conversation. Becky: Caleb and I will write letter and go meet with Jared Polis. Summer could go too to the meeting. Summer: could be good to get a recipient to go too. Summer: find office hours for Polis.
Board approves joining the push to support the bill.
