RACE 1 [TF1525]

CLASS 5 POLYTRACK 1200M

Acting on veterinary advice that ACROSS THE SEA (O Chavez) was found to be lame off-hind, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1236Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

As there was no similar claiming rider available, the Stewards gave permission for Jockey C Grylls to replace claiming App T See on START ME UP. An Inquiry into this incident will be held at a date to be fixed.

LIM'S STARDOM (O Placais) jumped awkwardly inwards making heavy contact with VENUS DE MILO (App N Hanafi), which in turn bumped LIM'S SIGNATURE (D Moor). This resulted in VENUS DE MILO and LIM'S SIGNATURE both being slow to begin.

TURQUOISE SON (M Nunes) was slow into stride after making contact with START ME UP on jumping.

Shortly after the start, TURQUOISE SON momentarily steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of YELLOW JADE HORSE (App CS Chin).

Approximately 50m after the start, GOLDEN JADE (M Zaki) shifted inwards making contact with AURORA AUSTRALIS (W Pike).

LIM'S STARDOM raced keenly in the early stages.

Near the 700m, START ME UP got its head up when being steadied off the heels of PARKER (V Duric).

VENUS DE MILO, which raced wide throughout, made contact with GOLDEN JADE passing the 600m.

Jockey Moor reported that LIM'S SIGNATURE was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination confirmed this. LIM'S SIGNATURE cannot race for seven days and must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

RACE 2 [TF1526]

INITIATION SC (D) 1200M

ELENA OF AVALOR (M Nunes) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

LONHRO GOLD (W Pike) jumped awkwardly outwards.

Near the 1100m, SORBETA (K A'Isisuhairi) checked when crowded by ELENA OF AVALOR, which shifted inwards abruptly and becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of LONHRO GOLD.

CALLIXTUS (App CC Wong) raced keenly in the early stages.

LINCOLN FAME (C Grylls) and CALLIXTUS both lost ground after making the turn near the 800m awkwardly.

Near the 700m, BOY WONDER (V Duric) and ELENA OF AVALOR bumped on a couple of occasions.

Passing the 600m, BOY WONDER shifted outwards after making contact with ELENA OF AVALOR and in so doing carried ELENA OF AVALOR wider on the track.

CROWN GIFT (R Woodworth) was eased when awkwardly placed on the inside of ARC TRIUMPH (D Moor) making the turn into the straight.

CROWN GIFT had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400m and the 200m.

Approaching the 200m, PROVOCATEUR (B Vorster) momentarily steadied when CROWN GIFT shifted outwards to obtain a clear run.

Passing the 200m, STRATEGIC JESTER (App S Noh) and ARC TRIUMPH bumped on a couple of occasions when racing to the inside of BLACK QUAIL (App R Zawari).

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on ELENA OF AVALOR which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 3 [TF1527]

CLASS 4 POLYTRACK 1100M

After arriving at the barrier, DRAGON SPIRIT (O Placais) and DAYUAN (M Nunes) had their saddles readjusted.

LORD ASCOT (W Pike) was slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.

STOCK BROKER (App R Zawari) jumped inwards at the start.

LADRONE (M Kellady) and STOCK BROKER both raced wide throughout.

DAN THE MAN (B Vorster) had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 400m until the concluding stages.

FAREES (O Chavez) was held up for clear running from the 300m.

Shortly after passing the 200m, SATELLITE MAN (WL Ho) steadied when racing to the inside of PREMIER FIGHTER (M Rodd).

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on THE COSMOS (V Duric) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 4 [TF1528]

CLASS 4 SC (D) 1400M

DIVISION 1

CHASE (O Placais) was slow to begin.

JACKS SECRET (App N Hanafi) jumped awkwardly outwards and bumped MADE IN CHINA (W Pike).

GOLD CITY (B Vorster) and JUSTICE FAIR (O Chavez) bumped on jumping.

MOON CHARM (M Nunes) jumped awkwardly inwards and made contact with SOUTHERN SPUR (App S Noh). SOUTHERN SPUR then shifted inwards and crowded PAPARAZZI (J Powell) in onto GOLDEN KINGDOM (App T See).

Approaching the 1200m, SILENT BOSS (M Kellady) lost ground when crowded to the inside of JACKS SECRET, which when racing keenly, was taken inwards slightly by MADE IN CHINA, which in turn shifted inwards slightly when being eased to avoid the heels of SOUTHERN SPUR.

JACKS SECRET raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

JUSTICE FAIR and GOLD CITY both raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 400m, JUSTICE FAIR was carried wider on the track by GOLD CITY, which shifted outwards after being carried outwards by PAPARAZZI.

Passing the 300m, IMPERIAL MARCH (V Duric) steadied when crowded for room between MOON CHARM and SILENT BOSS, which rolled outwards.

IMPERIAL MARCH was then held up for clear running shortly after passing the 200m.


MOON CHARM had difficulty obtaining clear running from the 150m until shortly after passing the 100m.

Near the 150m, SILENT BOSS eased outwards to avoid the heels of SKY ROCKET (G Boss), which shifted outwards and away from JACKS SECRET.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on SKY ROCKET which revealed no apparent abnormality.

Jockey Vorster, when questioned regarding the run of GOLD CITY, stated that he was obliged to travel wide in the early stages and the mare was under pressure approaching the hometurn. He added that from this point onwards, GOLD CITY compounded and finished the race off poorly. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLD CITY which revealed no apparent abnormality.

The Veterinary Surgeon reported that MADE IN CHINA bled. In terms of MRA Rule 92(3), it will not be permitted to canter or gallop on the main training tracks of any racecourse for a period of two months, and may not start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after having satisfactorily passed a bleeder’s test.

RACE 5 [TF1529]

CLASS 5 SC (D) 1600M

As there was no similar claiming rider available, the Stewards gave permission for App N Hanafi to replace App H Syafiq on JOYOUS as the latter was unable to make the weight. App H Syafiq was subsequently fined a sum of S$200 in terms of MRA Rule 107(9).

When the start was effected, SATELLITE PRINCE (C Grylls) stood flat footed and lost considerable ground. SATELLITE PRINCE will be required to pass one starting stall test prior to being declared to race again in terms of MRA Rule 78(2).

IMDRAGON (S John) lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

BONJOUR BOB (App N Zyrul), which raced wide throughout, proved difficult to settle in the early stages.

SHUYING XIAOXIAO (Z Zuriman) raced wide throughout.

MILITARY ALLIANCE (App CK Ng) shifted outwards and made contact with SHUYING XIAOXIAO near the 400m.

BONJOUR BOB laid inwards making the turn into the straight.


Over the concluding stages, BAYMAX (App T See) was carried outwards by KING CROSS (B Vorster), which shifted outwards under pressure.

Jockey Grylls reported that SATELLITE PRINCE was not striding out freely. A subsequent veterinary examination revealed that the horse returned with cuts on its both-hind legs.

RACE 6 [TF1530]

CLASS 4 SC (D) 1600M

Acting on veterinary advice that HERACLES (O Chavez) was found to be lame near-fore, the Panel of Stewards ordered its withdrawal at 1519Hrs. In terms of MRA Regulation 24.2, it must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

Shortly after the start, STORM TROOPER (App R Zawari) lost ground when crowded between TURF CHAMPION (M Nunes) and PEACE WANTED (V Duric), which was carried inwards by METTLESOME (App CC Wong). This resulted in STORM TROOPER making contact with TURF CHAMPION, with TURF CHAMPION stumbling.

MAJESTIC EMPRESS (B Vorster) raced wide throughout.

MUSCLE BEACH (I Azhar) was held up for a short distance making the turn into the straight.

Near the 300m, STORM TROOPER momentarily eased off the heels of MUSCLE BEACH. Thereafter, STORM TROOPER had difficulty obtaining clear running until the concluding stages.

TURF CHAMPION had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on LIM'S PERSHING (G Boss) which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 7 [TF1531]

KRANJI STAKES A POLYTRACK 1200M

AFFLECK (O Chavez) was slow to begin.

SUPER FORTUNE (O Placais) jumped awkwardly inwards and bumped DISTINCTIVE DARCI (V Duric) onto THE GENERAL (B Vorster).

NOVA SWISS (M Nunes), THE GENERAL, SUPER FORTUNE and POLE PARADISE (App CC Wong) all raced wide throughout.

Approaching the 800m, NOVA SWISS was carried inwards by ECLAIR CHOICE (App CK Ng). Shortly after, NOVA SWISS made contact with SKYWALK (D Moor), which in turn made contact with AFFLECK.

Near the 500m, ANONYMOUS (K A'Isisuhairi) momentarily steadied between DISTINCTIVE DARCI and LASER STORM.

LASER STORM (C Grylls) was held up for a short distance approaching the 400m.

Upon entering the homestraight, ANONYMOUS was inconvenienced by LASER STORM, which shifted outwards.

Subsequent veterinary examinations were requested on both NOVA SWISS and AFFLECK which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 8 [TF1532]

KRANJI STAKES C SC (D) 2000M

Prior to the running of Race 8, Trainer M Walker advised the Stewards that his instructions to App R Zawari, the rider of SHOW FAR SHOW GOOD, if circumstances permit, to try and ride back in a rearward position.

PENTAGON (App CC Wong) jumped outwards at the start bumping DARSHINI (M Nunes) out onto MIGHTY EMPEROR (B Vorster).

Shortly after the start, SHOW FAR SHOW GOOD and KHUDAWAND (D Moor) were both crowded when buffeted between TURQUOISE KING (C Grylls) and GOLAZO (O Chavez), which was carried outwards by FIRST PASSTHEPOST (K A'Isisuhairi).

O'REILLY DANCER (J Powell) raced keenly in the early stages.

TURQUOISE KING and GOLAZO both raced wide throughout.

Making the turn into the straight, PENTAGON had to be eased when becoming awkwardly placed on the heels of FIRST PASSTHEPOST. This resulted in PENTAGON shifting inwards. Shortly after, PENTAGON was carried outwards slightly when DARSHINI shifted to the outside of SHOWAR (E Aslam). PENTAGON then eased off the heels of FIRST PASSTHEPOST, which rolled outwards, clipped the heels of TURQUOISE KING and blundered badly almost dislodging its rider.

Approaching the 400m, GOLAZO, which rolled inwards slightly, was inconvenienced when TURQUOISE KING rolled outwards.

SHOW FAR SHOW GOOD was held up for a short distance passing the 100m.

Near the 50m, DARSHINI eased off the heels of SHOWAR, which shifted inwards and away from GOLAZO and SHOQEET (V Duric) when both geldings shifted inwards under pressure.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DARSHINI which revealed that the horse returned not striding out freely. DARSHINI cannot race for seven days and must be presented to an Official Veterinary Surgeon prior to being declared to race again.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLAZO which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 9 [TF1533]

COLONIAL CHIEF STAKES POLYTRACK 1700M

S’PORE-G3

After arriving at the barrier, SANDTOP (WL Ho) had its saddle readjusted.

ORDER OF THE SUN (App CC Wong) was slow to begin.

MIGHTY KENNY (B Vorster) jumped outwards at the start and carried MAGSTOCK (K A'Isisuhairi) out onto LAUGHING GRAVY (M Rodd).

SANDTOP lost ground after beginning awkwardly.

Near the 1500m, MAGSTOCK had to be eased when momentarily crowded between SANDTOP, which shifted outwards away from FORTUNE WINNER (V Duric) and BLUE SWEDE (J Powell), which shifted inwards slightly.

ORDER OF THE SUN raced wide throughout.

Near the 400m, BLUE SWEDE shifted outwards and bumped MAGSTOCK.

Near the 300m, MCGREGOR (D Moor) lost ground when tightened between ORDER OF THE SUN, which rolled inwards and MIGHTY KENNY, which rolled outwards.

Jockey O Placais, when questioned regarding the apparent poor performance of PERFECT P, stated that the gelding never travelled comfortably throughout and was under pressure from the early stages of the event. He added that due to this, he eased the gelding out of the race over the concluding stages. His explanation was noted. A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on PERFECT P which revealed that the horse returned lame near-fore. PERFECT P will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.


RACE 10 [TF1534]

CLASS 3 POLYTRACK 1000M

TANNHAUSER (V Duric), which was slightly slow to begin, lost ground after being buffeted shortly after the start between EN CIVIL (I Azhar), which shifted outwards and LIM'S SINCERE (B Vorster), which shifted inwards.

RIVER OF GOLD (O Chavez) and SIAM SAPPHIRE (M Nunes) were both slow into stride.

MAGIC CITY (App S Noh) was crowded on jumping between RED DAWN (M Kellady), which jumped outwards and CRAZY TIMES (App N Hanafi), which jumped awkwardly inwards.

Near the 800m, DARC BOUNTY (W Pike) laid inwards and made contact with TANNHAUSER.

GOLDEN TOMAHAWK (App R Zawari), SIAM SAPPHIRE and CRAZY TIMES all raced wide throughout.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DARC BOUNTY which revealed no apparent abnormality.

RACE 11 [TF1535]

CLASS 4 SC (D) 1400M

DIVISION 2

DREAMWEAVER (O Placais) was slow to begin.

Near the 900m, WHITE COFFEE (O Chavez) was carried wider when MORALES (K A'Isisuhairi) shifted outwards.

WHITE COFFEE was momentarily inconvenienced making the turn into the straight when MORALES shifted outwards.

GOLD CROWN (M Rodd) commenced to give ground shortly after making contact with KING LOUIS (B Vorster) passing the 300m.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on GOLD CROWN which revealed no apparent abnormality.

A subsequent veterinary examination was requested on DREAMWEAVER which revealed no apparent abnormality. DREAMWEAVER, which raced poorly, will be required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
