Summer School Information

Mid Valley School District does not offer summer school or transportation.

As per Mid Valley policy, failure to attend and passsummer school make up class for courses failed, will result in grade retention.

The Scranton School District will conduct a Summer School Program during the six week period from Monday, July 5, 2016 to Thursday August 11, 2016 (both dates inclusive). All courses, grades seven through twelve, will be scheduled at Scranton High School. Classes will be conducted from Monday through Thursday. No classes will be held on Fridays.

Make-UpCourses: Each class is two hours and fifteen minutes in length. The courses offered are for credit recovery, for students who must “make up” a course they have failed during the regular school year. The highest grade that can be received for these courses is an 83.

First period will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 10:15 a.m.;

Second period will begin at 10:30 a.m. dismissal will be at 12:45 p.m.

Classes will meet Monday through Thursday during the six-week period.

COST: The cost is one hundred and ten dollars ($110.00) dollars for non-residents. All registrants must pay a $10.00 non-refundable registration fee. All summer school classes must be paid in full by Thursday July 28, 2016.

Middle School Registrationfor all summer school courses will take place at Scranton High School, in the school cafeteria area on the first floor on the dates and times indicated below.

Prior to Tuesday July 5, 2016, requests for information may be directed to Mr. John Coyle (Principal at Scranton High School – 348-3481 (ext. 256). Mr. John Coyle will serve as the summer school principal.
