CEDI October 2017 Release

Our October release will be deployed on Friday, September 29, 2017. There are no changes to the front end edits. There will be a change to the 835 file names to reflect the DME MAC Jurisdiction from which the file originated. This was included in our listserv sent on August 4, 2017 and was also sent to our email distribution for software vendors, billing services and clearinghouse.

Following is the new file name format for the ERA files:

2017 Annual Trading Partner Recertification

We began our annual CEDI Trading Partner Recertification on July 1, 2017 and it will conclude on December 29, 2017. CEDI Trading Partners who have not recertified by December 29, 2017 will be suspended the first week of January 2018.

The 2017 CEDI Recertification Form is located on the CEDI website ( under CEDI Recertification Form on the left side of the main web page.

Recertification is the responsibility of the owner of the Trading Partner ID used to exchange electronic transactions with CEDI. Suppliers who use a third party (such as a billing service or clearinghouse) and do not have a CEDI Trading Partner ID of their own, will not complete the form. If you are not sure if you will need to complete the Recertification Form, please contact your billing service/clearinghouse for clarification on your setup.

Only the authorized contacts provided on the CEDI Recertification Form are able to request a password change, reset a password and have access to restricted information related to the Trading Partner ID. Please be sure to list all individuals who will need access to this information on the CEDI Recertification Form. When you need to add contacts, be sure to select the “Add” button after entering the contacts information.

NOTE: Please be sure to list the owner of the Trading Partner ID as one of the authorized contacts.

CEDI Enrollment Interactive Voice Response (IVR)

The enrollment IVR that’s currently available by calling the CEDI Help Desk phone line to check the status of forms submitted to CEDI will no longer be offered starting September 1, 2017.

We have an Online Enrollment Status Tool on our CEDI website ( available 24 x 7 to check the status of submitted forms. To access the tool, visit the CEDI website and select the Enrollment Status Tool under Self-Service Tools on the left side of the main CEDI web page.

To check the status of CEDI enrollment forms, you will need the Packet ID (PID) assigned to the submitted forms or you can search by NPI, PTAN and the submission date.

You can also use the tool to check the status of your submitted Trading Partner Recertification Form using the email address entered on the Recertification Form and either the Trading Partner ID or the Request ID (RID) assigned to the form when it was submitted.
