Husker Club Minutes – October 18, 2016
Financial review: Meredith reviewed the financials
Membership: We have 34 new memberships for September
Brick Update: Fall brick placement has occurred. Next placement is in the Spring. Everyone was told to get their order forms in. Will push at the individual sport parents’ meetings.
Upcoming Events: Football, Boys Soccer and Girls Soccer are still going strong. We are hosting the Girls Sectional Championships and one of the Girls Regional Semi-final games.
Concession Trailer:
We are planning to open for all remaining games. The last game is scheduled for November 5. After that we will schedule a time to winterize it. A request for pool noodles was sent out to the membership with only one being donated. Jay has purchased them to protect the trailer cover from ripping.
Apparel Coordinator:
We are still looking for a coordinator for the apparel. We sold a lot of the inventory that we had sitting in the closet, at the football games.
Winter Coach’s Meeting:
Fio will advise Jay when he will be meeting with the coaches so that we can have someone go in and talk to them about having their parents join the Huskers and also to volunteer for concessions, etc.
Pod:
Fio was asked if we could get approval to put a Pod container behind the trailer so that we can store the bbq, tables and overflow of supplies in it. Keeping them all in the shack is not conducive during a crowded football game and it would be easier to have everything right there on hand.
Cheer Competition:
Coming up in November.
