  1. I have viewed the required parking video online which outlines the expectations before purchasing the parking decal.
  1. No student parking will be allowed after the first day of school unless a 2016-2017 parking decal is affixed to the window.
  1. We will begin issuing parking decals at orientation. I understand that a copy of my driver’s license, a copy of my insurance card, and payment receipt must be provided in order to obtain the decal. I WILL BRING THOSE COPIES.

  1. I understand that students are only allowed to park in designated areas. Parking decals are parking lot specific. Students are only allowed to park in the parking lot specified on the parking decal. A $15.00 fee will be charged to replace any parking decal regardless of reason.
  1. The parking decal must be affixed to the inside front windshield on the right side so that it is visible to the security guards driving down the aisles. In the event a student must drive a different car than the one registered, you must obtain a parking change form from Dr. Hardegree’s office in D201. Personal notes left on the dash are not acceptable. Unauthorized vehicles will receive a parking ticket. Vehicles may also be booted or towed at the owner’s expense. Students are reminded that ALL school rules are in effect in the parking area before, during and after school.
  1. Parking Guidelines: 1. Drivers and passengers must leave their vehicles and the parking lot immediately upon arrival and report to their classrooms. 2. No one may enter the parking lot during the day (except those students who arescheduled to leave) without written permission from Administration. A student’svehicle will not be used as a locker. 3.Administration has the right to search any vehicle as deemed necessary. Suchsearches may be conducted without notice, without student consent, and without asearch warrant.4. Buses and pedestrians always have the right of way. 5.Be courteous and cautious. Speed limit is 10 mph. 6. No loud mufflers, tire squealing, fast starts, “doughnuts,” reckless driving, or loud radioswill be tolerated. A reckless driving ticket and/or criminal charges will be issued. 7. Students are not allowed to ride in the back of any pick‐up truck. 8. No smoking while arriving to, leaving from, or walking on GCPS property. 9. Students are to park only in the student parking lots. Any reassignment of parkingspaces can only be done by Dr. Hardegree in D201. 10. Each vehicle must occupy no more than one space. 11. Teachers cannot give permission to park on campus. Any special parking arrangementsmust be approved by Dr. Hardegree in D201. 12. Students are expected to comply with all State of Georgia Traffic Rules, Regulations, andRoad Safety Rules while on school property.
  1. Security efforts are made to ensure parking lot security. However, Mill Creek High School and Gwinnett County Public Schools assume no responsibility for damages, loss or theft. Students drive and park on campus at their own risk. Students are not allowed in any parking area at any time without written permission of an Administrator except when arriving on or leaving campus. Locking your car doors is required.
  1. I understand in order to purchase and/or keep my parking permit for each semester I must meet the following requirements:

a.Academics: You must pass ALL SIX classes each semester. b. Discipline: Out of school or in school suspensions may prevent students from keeping parking privileges. Circumstances will be reviewed and decided at the discretion of the Administration. c. Using a vehicle to skip a class or school will revoke the parking pass. If parking is revoked, no refund will be given.

  1. IF A STUDENT HAS AN UNPAID PARKING TICKET AT THE END OF FIRST SEMESTER, THE PARKING PERMIT MAY BE REVOKEDWITH NO REFUND. Students must pay all tickets by the end of the year. If you are a senior, you will not walk at graduation if there are any unpaid tickets. Juniors who have not paid all tickets will not be able to get a decal senior year.
  1. Parking permits will not be issued to any students with outstanding fines, textbook fees, or tickets. You may check the Parent Portal and MyPaymentsPlusto insure there are no unpaid fees.
