Call to Order

Of Minutes / Minutes of November, 2010 meeting / Approved as distributed.
Admission of Students - Low GRE/MAT- Future Admission / Regarding follow up for students who were admitted conditionally due to low GRE scores. Plan was to reevaluate students after 1 year of course work.
Students applying for the Fall 2011 course must have their GRE scores in by the end of June, all applicants will be interviewed prior. Full admission after April 30th will be given for the following scores: GRE limits will be 900 for both PhD and DNP as well as MAT at 50% or above. Admits will be decided end of April. BSN-PHD and BSN-DNP GPA will be 3.0. Post Masters will remain 3.5. / Pull Conditional (GRE), give to Sue Folden to assign faculty: Valentine, Williams, Liehr and Locsin
Interviews for current applicants will be completed by end of April.
Admission Decisions / Admission decisions for the following Fall 2011 applicants.

2.)  Ann Johnson - admit
3.)  Dianne Gullet - admit
4.)  Valerie Grumme - admit
5.)  Beth Pratt - admit
6.)  Deborah Morgan – needs certification
7.)  Diane Contrastano – needs certification / Sue Folden will contact Deborah Morgan and Diane Contrastano. National certification needs to be clarified on our website “NP or Nurse Administrator through ANCC”
Petition / Student 1: Petition to begin Capstone credits along with final course work was accepted. Plan is to register for 1 credit in Summer, 2 credits in Fall 3 credits in Spring / Ruth McCaffrey to coordinate.
Revisit Capstone Titles / Anne Boykin suggested revisiting objective of Capstone Titles to show Scholarship and Caring Philosophy. / Sue Folden to coordinate with faculty
Comprehensive Exam Title for Student / Karen Grimley’s topic “Interrelationship of Nurse and patient Perspectives on what Constitutes the Quality of Nursing Care in the Acute Care Setting”. / Will go back to her committee.
Review Dissertation Chapters / Faculty time to review dissertation chapters will move to 3 weeks (is currently 2) to allow adequate time to review. / Wording for Student Handbook will be discussed in the next meeting.
Students who don’t graduate within 7 years / University has moved to 10 years before credits will be considered out of date. / Vote to be consistent with the University.
