PART D - CAR DAMAGE

COVERAGE

We will pay for loss to your insured car:

(1) caused by collision, or

(2) caused by other than collision, less any

applicable deductibles. If you have up to a $250 deductible or less, it shall not apply to loss caused by a collision of your insured car with another vehicle insured by us.

EMERGENCY ROAD SERVICE COVERAGE

You have emergency road service coverage if this coverage is shown in the Declarations for which a premium charge is made. We will pay up to the limit shown for costs incurred for your insured car away from any service stations or garage for:

(1) Mechanical labor at the place of its break

down.

(2) Towing to the nearest place where the

necessary repairs can be made if it will

not run.

(3) Towing it out if it is stuck on or immediately next to a public road.

(4) Delivery of gas, oil, loaned battery, or

change of tire. We do not pay for the cost

of these items.

Charges incurred in gaining entry into your insured car because of lost keys or keys locked in your insured car is not covered.

RENTAL REIMBURSEMENT

You have rental reimbursement coverage if it is shown in the Declarations for which a premium charge is made. We will pay for rental charges up to the daily and maximum limit shown in the Declarations. This coverage is provided while your insured car is disabled from a collision or from other than collision. Your insured car must be continually out of use for more than 24 hours due to disablement.

FCP 8/93

Payment will be made only until your insured car is repaired, or until it could be reasonably expected to be repaired or replaced.

PAYMENT OF LOSS

We may pay the loss in money, or repair, or replace damaged or stolen property. We may, at any time before the loss is paid or the property is replaced, return at our expense any stolen property either to you or to the address shown in the Declarations, with payment for the resulting damage. We may keep all or part of the property at the agreed or appraised value.

APPRAISAL

If you and we do not agree on the amount of loss, either party may demand an appraisal of the loss. In this event, each party will select a competent appraiser. The two appraisers will select an umpire. The appraisers will state separately the actual cash value and the amount of loss. If they fail to agree, they will submit their differences to the umpire. A decision agreed to by any two will be binding. Each party will:

(1) Pay its chosen appraiser; and

(2) Bear the expenses of the appraisal and

umpire equally.

We do not waive any of our rights under this policy by agreeing to an appraisal.

ADDITIONAL DEFINITIONS USED IN THIS PART ONLY

As used in this Part:

(1) "Collision" means collision of your insured car with another object or upset of your insured car. Loss caused by missiles, falling objects, fire, theft or larceny, explosion, earthquake, windstorm, hail, water, flood, malicious mischief or vandalism, riot or civil commotion, colliding with a bird or animal, or breakage of glass is not deemed loss caused by collision. If breakage of glass results from a collision, however, you may elect to have it treated as loss caused by collision.
