Just a Thought

As followers of Christ, how do we fulfil our call to be "fishers of men"? Pope Francis urges all Catholics to spend more time practicing the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. He declared, "May the balm of mercy reach everyone, both believers and those far away, as a sign that the kingdom of God is already present in our midst."

Corporal Works Spiritual Works

Feed the hungry Instruct
Shelter the homeless Advise

Visit the sick and imprisoned Comfort
Bury the dead Forgive

Reflection

Tranquil Moments.

Steal away to some quiet corner

Steal away for just awhile

It heals the body, soul and spirit

And gives a true and happy smile.

Take a walk and see the beauty

Mountains high “and breathe the air,”

Thank the Lord for all creation

He allows for us to share.

In the stillness of a corner

Or majestic mountains tall

He provides us tranquil moments,

Hears the smallest voice and call.

In serenity and beauty

Stillness of the night or day,

Ask believing in God’s promise –

Ask believing…steal away.
