POSITION SUMMARY:
The Products Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive sales support for both external and internal customers and for performing all steps as part of the ‘order to dispatch’ process.
This position requires effective liaison and relationship management between E&T (First Aid) and Retail team members, and with both internal and external stakeholders. This key role provides sales process services to all online and offline product sales and inventory tasks, including stock management, to ensure exceptional customer service and achieve service delivery goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Product sales & management:
· Respond to all sales enquiries, including calls, emails, web queries and face to face as required, in a timely and professional manner
· Proactively conduct telephone sales with potential customers, following up a variety of identified leads, to develop NZRC national sales
· Actively follow up on all web quotes to maximise engagement of customer satisfaction
· Perform administration tasks in regard to promotion and marketing of all products
Inventory management:
· Maintain stock control
· Receipt stock and vendor invoices
· Maintain auto order volumes
Sage processing:
· Process and dispatch all orders in Sage in a timely manner
· Identify unprocessed orders in web store and process Sage batches as required
Internal first aid resources:
· Dispatch internal resource orders in an effective and efficient manner
AED Management programme:
· Process and dispatch replacement AED pads and batteries
· Follow up on expired AED pads and batteries
· Register new AEDs sold by Red Cross and 3rd parties
· Register Community AED stations with 111
· Maintain life critical AED location information for AED finder and 111 data feed
Health & Safety:
· Ensure the prompt and accurate reporting, recording and investigation of all workplace incidents and injuries
· Ensure all hazards are promptly assessed for their significance, and managed according to the hazard management process.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Qualifications:
5 years relevant experience in a customer service sales role.
Experience/Competencies:
The appointee would be able to demonstrate:
§ 5 years’ experience in working in a general office environment
§ 5 years’ experience in customer service and telephone sales roles
§ Ability to communicate clearly and resolve customer needs
§ Attention to detail and drive to get things right
§ Be able to work flexible hours when needed
§ Must be skilled in the use of online database and technology systems. The role includes the use of our ecommerce store, CRM database and ERP (Sage 300)
§ Must be able to lift and move stock up to 25kgs
§ Good written and verbal communication skills
§ Empathy with humanitarianism and social enterprise
§ Be enthusiastic and have the commitment to work as a team member of Red Cross.
A commitment to the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement is imperative.
Driver’s Licence
A current motor vehicle driver’s licence is essential.
