INDUSTRIAL GRADE NON-METALLIC LIQUIDTIGHT FITTINGS AND CONDUIT

PART 1 – GENERAL

1.04 QUALITY ASSURANCE
A. Manufacturer Qualifications: Products shall be free of defects in material and workmanship.
B. Furnished products are listed, recognized and/or classified by third party agencies as being suitable for the intended purpose.
1.05 WARRANTY
A. Product is warranted free of defects in material and workmanship.
B. Product is warranted to perform the intended function within design limits.
PART 2 – PRODUCTS
2.01 GENERAL
A. The following industrial grade fittings, conduit and tubing shall be available:
1. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings for Liquidtight Flexible Nonmetallic Conduit, Type B (LFNC-B) and Non-metallic Mechanical Protective Tubing (NMPT).
2. Metallic Bullet® fittings for LFNC-B and NMPT.
3. ISO metric Bullet® fittings for LFNC-B and EFC tubing.
4. XTRA FLEX® LFNC-B.
5. XTRA FLEX® NMPT.
B. Bullet® fittings shall be UL Listed to UL 514B and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 227.2.
C. XTRA FLEX® LFNC-B shall be UL Listed to UL 1660 and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 227.2.
D. XTRA FLEX® NMPT shall be UL Recognized to UL 1696 and CSA Certified to C22.2 No. 227.3.
E. XTRA FLEX® LFNC-B and the Bullet® fittings shall be suitable for
hazardous (classified) locations use in Class I, Division 2; Class II, Division 1 and 2, Class III, Division
1 and 2 where general purpose equipment is specifically permitted per the NEC.
F. XTRA FLEX® LFNC-B and the Bullet® fittings shall be suitable for
environments exposed to detergents, sanitizers, cutting fluids, oils and other substances as defined
in the manufacturer’s literature.

2.03 DESIGN AND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
A. Non-metallic Bullet® Fittings
1. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall be series LT38P (straight version), LT438P (45º version) and LT938P (90º version).
2. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall be used with XTRA-FLEX® LFNC-B or NMPT for liquidtight applications.
3. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings body and gland shall be molded from weather stabilized thermoplastic.
4. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a rubber molded o-ring.
5. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a steel, electro zinc plated locknut.
6. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a service temperature range of -40ºC to 105ºC.
7. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a flammability rating of UL94-V2.
8. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall have trade size range of 3/8” to 2”.
9. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall have threaded NPT hubs.
10. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall allow insertion and assembly of conduit or tubing without disassembly.
11. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall be suitable for use with NEMA Type 4 and 6 enclosures.
12. Non-metallic Bullet® fittings shall be reusable to support maintenance and repair activities.
B. Metallic Bullet® Fittings
1. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall be series LT38M (straight version), LT438M (45º version) and LT938M (90º version).
2. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall be used with XTRA-FLEX® LFNC-B or NMPT for liquidtight applications.
3. Metallic Bullet® fittings body and gland shall be made from steel or malleable iron with an electro zinc plated finish.
4. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a rubber molded o-ring.
5. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a steel, electro zinc plated locknut.
6. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a nylon insulated throat.
7. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall have a service temperature range of -40ºC to 105ºC.
8. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall have trade size range of 3/8” to 2”.
9. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall have threaded NPT hubs.
10. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall allow insertion and assembly of conduit or tubing without disassembly.
11. Metallic Bullet® fittings shall be suitable for use with NEMA Type 4 and 6 enclosures.
C. ISO Metric Bullet® Fittings
1. ISO metric Bullet® fittings shall be series LT38P-ISO20 (straight version) and LT938P-ISO20 (90º version).
2. ISO metric Bullet® fittings shall be used with XTRA-FLEX® LFNC-B or NMPT for liquidtight applications.
3. ISO metric Bullet® fittings body and gland shall be molded from weather stabilized thermoplastic.
4. ISO metric Bullet® fittings shall have a rubber molded o-ring.
5. ISO metric Bullet® fittings shall have a steel, electro zinc plated locknut.

11. ISO metric Bullet® fittings shall be suitable for use with NEMA Type 4 and 6 enclosures.
12. ISO metric Bullet® fittings shall be reusable to support maintenance and repair activities.
D. XTRA FLEX® Liquidtight Flexible Nonmetallic Conduit Type B (LFNC-B)
1. XTRA-FLEX® LFNC-B shall be series LTC038 (black color) and LT038GY (gray color).
2. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall have smooth interior and exterior made from PVC material.
3. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall have a UL temperature rating of -18ºC to 105ºC (-2ºF to 221ºF) for the black LTC038 series and -18ºC to 80ºC (-2ºF to 176ºF) for the gray LTC038GY series.
4. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall have maximum voltage rating of 600V.
5. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall be available in conduit sizes from 3/8” to 2”.
6. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall be available on reels of varying lengths.
7. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall be suitable for outdoor and direct burial applications for the black version up to 2” conduit size and gray version up to 1” conduit size..
8. XTRA-FLEX® LTC series LFNC-B shall also be available in the following colors:
a. Orange: identified with a -1 catalog number suffix
b. Blue: identified with a -2 catalog number suffix
E. XTRA FLEX® Nonmetallic Mechanical Protective Tubing (NMPT)
1. XTRA-FLEX® NMPT shall be series EFC025 (black color).
2. XTRA-FLEX® NMPT shall have smooth interior and a corrugated exterior made from PVC material.
3. XTRA-FLEX® NMPT shall have a UL temperature rating of -18ºC to 60ºC (-2ºF to 140ºF).
4. XTRA-FLEX® NMPT shall have maximum voltage rating of 300V.
5. XTRA-FLEX® NMPTshall be available in conduit sizes from 1/4” to 2”.
6. XTRA-FLEX® NMPT shall have a VW-1 flammability rating per UL 224.
7. XTRA-FLEX® NMPT shall also be available in the following colors:
a. Orange: identified with a -1 catalog number suffix
b. Blue: identified with a -2 catalog number suffix.
PART 3 – EXECUTION
3.01 INSTALLATION
A. Installation shall be in accordance to the NEC, CEC and manufacturer’s instructions.
