The minutes of the Committee meetings on 4thDecember2017were read & agreed unanimously.
Matters arising –Matters arising were discussed under individual headings.

Treasurers Report–Paul M
PaulM reported that the Society remains in a healthy financial position and the membership currently stands at 78 (plus 1 further member from today).
Captain's Report–Paul H
Paul H was pleased to report the growth in both the membership and the numbers turning out on match days and for the roll-up events had continued. He commented that HAH had been delighted by the €400 raised by the charity event and wished to record his personal thanks to all members who had donated so generously and those involved in making the event such a success.
Social Committee Report–Paul H
The annual Captain’s Dinner has been arranged for Friday 20th April at La Serena Clubhouse. Menus will be circulated in the near future. It is hoped to book the same entertainment as last year. PH/MH/BB
Handicap Report - John
John sent a report of several notable changes to handicaps since the last meeting.Steve Branston 12.4 to 11.8, Jim Moffat 12.3 to 12.0, Mick Hardy 14.3 to 13.7, John Hillier 22.8 to 21.2, Sandra Twentyman 25.6 to 25.1 and Jeff Belt 23.6 to 22.8. There has been an anomaly in that Paul Hamlin’s handicap with the Federation went up by 1 shot rather than 0.1 at Lo Romero – Barry will investigate. BB The Committee wished John’s mother a speedy recovery from herrecent health problems.
Murcia League Report - Mick
Our record after 5 games is drawn 4 and lost 1. The next game is against Mar Menor Ladies on 12th February.
PR Report –David A
We are getting regular coverage in the local press and the facebook/website pages continue to attract interest. A report of the Charity Day and photo will be sent to a number of papers and placed on the website and Facebook.

Society Matches – Mick
Almost all matches to the end of December 2018 are arranged and a full list will be circulated to the Committee following the meeting, at which time the website will be updated to reflect the arrangements.
The Winter KO has reached the ¼ final stage and is on track to finish before 31st March.

It was agreed that the AGM will be held on Saturday 31st March 2018. Barry will send out notices regarding the AGM date, nominations for Committee members and agendas in due course. Dave Farrington advised the Committee that he had invited Ty Williams to be his Vice Captain for next season and Ty had accepted.
The next Committee Meeting will be on Monday,5thMarch2018 after the game at La Serena.
There being no further business the meeting closed at 18.45pm.
