A SENATE RESOLUTION

EXTENDING CONGRATULATIONS TO MR. AND MRS. HAROLD J. “PETE” PRICE OF LEXINGTON COUNTY ON THE JOYOUS OCCASION OF THEIR FIFTIETH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND EXPRESSING BEST WISHES TO THE PRICES FOR MANY MORE YEARS OF HAPPINESS TOGETHER.

Whereas, Pete and Ruth Price were married on December 15, 1951, in Winnsboro, South Carolina; and

Whereas, the Prices are devoted to each other and have loyally stood together as a model married couple for fifty years; and

Whereas, they are the proud parents of three children: Harold, Marvin, and Esther; and the loving grandparents of seven grandchildren: Lindsay, Jordan, Reid, Brent, Austin, Heather, and Kara; and

Whereas, Mr. and Mrs. Price are lifelong members of St. Andrews Lutheran Church; and

Whereas, they have lived an exemplary Christian life, setting the example for their children and others to follow; and

Whereas, this loving couple’s contributions to their family, friends, and community have earned them the justifiable affection and respect of all those with whom they have worked or served; and

Whereas, the Prices have reached a milestone in their marriage, the commemoration of the halfcentury mark. A Golden Wedding Anniversary is an occasion of joy and celebration; we are pleased to have this opportunity to recognize them in this special manner. Now, therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate:

That the South Carolina Senate, by this resolution, extends congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. “Pete” Price of Lexington County on the joyous occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary and express heartfelt best wishes to the Prices for many more years of happiness together.

Be it further resolved that a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. and Mrs. Harold J. “Pete” Price.
