WHAT IS FITNESS FOCUSED?
Fitness Focused is a personal training service with one goal in mind, the client! Fitness focus’s core values and training modalities center on the concept and idea of combining “health” and “fitness.” By connecting these two concepts, our primary goal is focused onimplementing the science behind exercise and nutrition while providingan individualized experience for the client. As we all know all human beings vary greatly in our differences, so why should everyone workout and eat the same?
WHY HIRE FITNESS FOCUSED?
Do you find yourself setting FITNESS goals and not achieving them? Are you starting your program to achieve cosmetic results such as bigger muscles, six pack abs, or to bulk up? Are you trying to get the quickest results?Do you simply print out workouts from the internet or listen to your friend who is a gym goer? Did you hire a personal trainer and STILL NO RESULTS? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then Fitness Focused is for you!
Fitness focused provides the client with a unique personal training experience that will reshape your outlook and vision on health and fitness. Fitness Focused develops workout routines and programs in the best interest of the clientele and considers all aspects of their health. While our idea of training stems from being health orientated at Fitness Focused, we ensure that were able to apply this idea of health to a variety of age levels and people. Our workout routines combine the five components of fitness:
- Muscular strength
- Muscular endurance
- Flexibility
- Body mass composition
- Cardiovascular endurance
It is essential to understand the five components of fitness and establishing health as the primary motivator and goal for your program and daily life. At Fitness Focused, we apply this healthy mindset through the five components of fitness for overall well being and longevity.
FITNESS FOCUSED –Training Modalities vs common programs or mistakes
The style of personal training at Fitness Focused aims to train for maximum results while promoting longevity. Our core idea is to benefit from exercise and nutrition and to make it a part of our life, not control us or ruin your body. Also, it needs to be practical and balanced for each individual while minimizing or avoiding any negative issues that can occur. For example, a common exercise performed is sitting everyday. Did you know that sitting is a disease and causes a multitude of issues to the human body. Excessive sitting impacts our body’s metabolic system: “Today, our bodies are breaking down from obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer, depression and the cascade of health ills and everyday malaise that come from what scientists have named sitting disease.” (James Levine, MD, PhDjuststand.org) Due to sitting having such negative consequences on the human body, why do most training programs perform seated exercises or lying exercises in non-functional movements.
FITNESS FOCUSED Mindset
VS.
Traditional fitness
At Fitness Focused our mindset is to have health lead our decisions, improve our functionality, and live longer through applying science based exercise and nutrition programs. “In the study, women who were inactive for 11 or more hours a day fared the worst, facing a 12% increase in premature death, but even lesser amounts of inactive time can cause problems. “Once you’re sitting for more than 6 to 8 hours a day, that’s not likely to be good for you,” Dr. Manson says.” (health.harvard.edu) Sitting, this is a common exercise we all perform everyday that has powerful negative results to the human body, but despite this we still end up sitting at some time during the day, it’s a part of life. The difference about the exercise of sitting versus performing non-functional movements in the gym is sitting is something you can not completely control where as choosing to perform non-functional movements is a choice.
