He frequently flashes back to his teenage years (where he’s played by Anton Yelchin) and his friendship with Pappass, his school’s janitor. The movie also stars Erykah Badu and Téa Leoni, who might have gotten the job because she’s sleeping with the director. With Robin Williams as said janitor, FTP name this directorial debut of David Duchovny which also has him wearing the hats of writer and star.

It’s not Apocalypse Now, but it does show Martin Sheen on the bow of a patrol boat writing in his journal. Along the way, it also parodies Basic Instinct and Star Wars.
