We are currently looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our team in Brampton Ontario.
Position Purpose
- Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's Quality Management System in order to deliver the highest quality product to all customers. Will work with the quality team to ensure compliance with internal quality policies and customer requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a Quality System that meets all the requirements of corporate guidelines.
- Establish and maintain controls that monitor adherence to customer requirements.
- Monitors the on-going effectiveness of the quality system. Develops KPIs and action plans to improve performance and reports to team.
- Manage the monitoring, measurement, and review of internal processes that affect the quality of our products.
- Develops and implements Quality plans for new processes and products.
- Communicates to engineers, manager, and operators and trains them on process changes.
- Serves as a liaison with customers to ensure that the customers quality standards are supported. Investigate all customer complaints regarding quality and coordinate appropriate actions to prevent further occurrence.
- Work with engineers, managers, operators, and customer service to help resolve customer complaints.
- All other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form.
- Ability to deal with multiple issues at any given time and be able to prioritize based on immediate urgency.
- Ability to communicate with customers & supplier in both written and oral form.
- Problem solving and decision making ability.
- Ability to work well with people across a cross functional organization; interacts regularly with upper management, department managers and supervisors, and production employees.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines and ability to multi-task on multiple activities/projects at any given time.
Qualifications / Prior Experience
- Bachelors' Degree in related field
- 2 - 5 years’ experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with screw machine and stamping an asset.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
- Project management experience
- Experience in creating and submitting PPAP documentation to customers
- Gage R&R
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Product Functional Testing
- ISO 9001 experience required
Work Environment / Other Requirements
- Must be able to use office equipment (scanner, printer, copier, telephone, and computer)
- Must be able to talk/hear/sit for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift 25 lbs on an occasional basis
- The work performed is conducted in a facility with moderate noise levels that are within OSHA Limits.
