Missional Community Leaders
AKA Catalytic Coaches
2 Timothy 2:2. What you have heard from me… entrust to faithfulmen who will be able to teach others also.
What a Missional Community Leader is: a Catalytic Coach
“Missional Community Leaders (Catalytic Coaches) exist in each community to serve and empower the community while modeling the kind of loving and productive relationships Endeavor is known for.”
Ephesians 4:11-12. And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, 12toequip the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.
1 Peter 5:1-3. To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder, a witness of Christ's sufferings and one who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, serving as overseers-not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not greedy for money, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
Key Leadership Posture
As a leader of a Missional Community you need to think like a Church Planter with a Core Group
- Ask yourself, “If this group were to eventually become a core group of a new church plant, what would I do?”
- Keep in mind that you will need to train and prepare for the ministry of making disciples and the leadership of new Missional Communities.
- Prepare them to be a new expression of the Church someday.
