CAMFIL FARR CAMSAFE 2 SPECIFICATION (TEXT FOR TENDER)

1.0 General

1.1 – Housing shall be a modular front-access bag-in/bag-out. – System arrangement for greater airflows shall be achieved by connecting ducts for horizontal air intake and exhaust for up to six filter units side by side.

The housing shall be adequately designed with a bent seal gasket filter and on the 4 corners it has to be continually welded to withstand a NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE PRESSURE UP TO 6000 Pa, and fulfill:

1)  Class C according to EUROVENT 2/2.

2)  Class L1 according to EN1886 :2008

3)  Class 3 according to ISO 10648-2:1994.

4)  At the nominal air-flow with an ABSOLUTE H14 filter the penetration, included between filter and the seal gasket flange has to be lower than 0.01% according to ISO 14644-3.

5)  The value of the airflow leak rate has to be 0 liter per minute according to DIN 1946-sheet 4.

The housing shall accommodate standard size filters that do not require any special attachments or devices to function properly in the housing.

2.0 Construction

2.1 – Housing shall be constructed of steel coated with a 70 µm RAL9010 white epoxy resin oven backed or stainless steel which is capable of being decontaminated. All junctions shall be continuously welded with no porosities. No sealant is accepted in the upstream part of the housing.

2.2 – The housing shall have a collar around each filter access. The collar shall have two (2) continuous grooves to secure the change-out bag and the width of the collar has to be minimum 85 mm to process easily to the bag in bag out operations.

2.3 – The filter access door is secured by the use of a high performance seal and star knob hand wheels. The rods which fasten the door to the housing must be bolted not welded (in case of replacement need) outside the pressurized area. No special tools are required to remove the doors. An additional safety feature ensures that the door can only be replaced when the clamping system has been fully turned in the right position.

2.4 – Each filter module is fitted with a clamping mechanism. It shall be cam-operated with one (1) single hand lever which has a minimum size of 200 mm to handle it easily thru the bag. The threaded pivot blocks in the filter clamping mechanisms shall be of brass construction. An additional safety feature ensures that the filter can be clamped only if it is well inserted into the housing.

2.6 –The thermo sealable PVC change-out bag shall be made from 200µm thick transparent PVC non-sticking, matte finish. It shall include an 8mm diameter elastic nitrile cord (O-ring) hemmed into the opening of the bag so when stretched around the housing bagging ring flange, a secure fit is created. The bag shall include one (1) integral sleeve ports 160mm diameter and 650mm long minimum to assist in filter change-out and evacuate safely previous bag residual part. Design of components shall be such that all change-out operations shall be within the bag so there is a barrier between the service technician and the filter at all times.

2.8 – The housing shall receive a door with a glass window to check if there is a filter or/and bag into the housing.

2.9 – The housing shall be able to receive a handling table to facilitate the filter change in smooth way

(The manual scan devise is an option. Delete if not applicable.)

2.10 – Leak test “manual scan” device

Filter housing section shall be equipped with a device to be connected to a particle counter allowing the full individual inspection of the downstream face of each HEPA filter without invasive procedure. This device shall consist in a mobile multi perforated sampling probe, operated safely from outside the housing by the operator. Connection port shall be an airtight ¼” quick disconnect.

Housing shall be Camfil CamSafe 2 or equal
