University of Iowa Talks Politics, Art, Business, and Law
The celebrated Hawkeye Lunch & Learn lecture series returns this semester with a diverse group of passionate experts to present monthly lectures over the noon hour in John and Mary Pappajohn Education Center in downtown Des Moines. Since its debut in 2014, the Hawkeye Lunch & Learn lecture series has created a renewed energy in the university’s connection to Iowans throughout the state. The spring lecture series will showcase teaching, research, and service in the Department of Political Science, the Grant Wood Art Colony, the Tippie College of Business, and the College of Law, spurring attendees to new interests and further reading on a variety of topics.
“The University of Iowa has identified one of its major strategic priorities as engagement, and as we begin our third year of Hawkeye Lunch & Learn lectures, we are continuing to bring truly engaging university experts to inform Iowa citizens of the role and impact our university has on our State and Nation,” says Linda Snetselaar, associate provost for outreach and engagement at the University of Iowa. “We are very much looking forward to presenting new topics and experts to our audiences throughout the State this semester and seeing the new collaborations and partnerships that will result from the lecture series.”
