Fashion shops looking for inspiration in Poznan
The end of February is an important time for the shops with clothing and footwear. At that time, owners take the crucial decision of choosing the collection for the next season or order bestsellers to complement the product range. On February 21-22 they come to the Poznan Fashion Fair for inspirations and the most fashionable models.
Entrepreneurs from the fashion industry meet twice a year at the Poznan Fashion Fair − the country's largest event for the fashion sector − to learn about new trends and invest in a product that is desired by customers. The event taking place February 21-22 brings together hundreds of brands with a broad of thematic and stylistic cross section. In February collections will be presented at the fair, among others, by companies from France, Spain, Lithuania, Germany, Pakistan, Sweden, the USA, Italy and Great Britain. Despite the large selection of international collections, Polish companies also enjoy unflagging popularity. It is now easier to find them at the fair, because many of them have been involved in the Polish Fashion project. The Polish Fashion initiative simplifies the process of finding domestic companies, which often have a foreign name.
The aim of the fair is to show trends and stylistic diversity in a nutshell. Polish and foreign entrepreneurs will have an opportunity to see the offer of well-known brands, alternative brands as well as family businesses, which are very familiar with the requirements of specific customers (age, lifestyle etc.) Manufacturers inspired by fashion weeks in the world will show the interpretation of key trends. What can we expect on the shelves and hangers in boutiques in the spring and summer of 2018? You will get a lot of violets in shades of heather, lavender or intense ultraviolet light. There will be the eye-catching red total look, and transparent materials and textiles − from satin dresses to exaggerated, transparent accessories − will enjoy much interest. The most important addition will be a belt emphasising the waistline, worn even with hoodies. Combining elegance with a sporty style will gain popularity. A pearl necklace will be combined with a bomber jacket, satin fabric will complement knitted or jeans texture, feathers will crown hoodies. After years the cult of logo returns − brand signatures will appear in the most visible places, with surprisingly large sizes.
Poznan Fashion Fair participants will look at the trends both on the stands and during fashion shows. Nearly 30 brands will showcase their collections on the catwalk. This is an opportunity for entrepreneurs to see with their own eyes the most fashionable colours, styles and fabrics for the spring-summer 2018 and autumn-winter 2018/2019 seasons. The main show will be held on the first day of the fair as part of the evening gala held for an international group of business owners and key fashion merchants. There will be presented the premiere collections of the brands awarded the Polish Fashion sign.
Despite the stereotypes, fashion is not just trends, but above all business with extensive strategy. That's why the fair features a special panel discussion dedicated to the most important issues for the sector. Experts will raise topics related to the display of the goods in the store, online sales, complaints, marketing and sales optimization.
A ticket for the Poznan Fashion Fair for people associated with the fashion industry is free of charge. Shop owners, managers, marketing specialists, fashion school students, photographers, stylists and illustrators receive a free ticket upon registration at
